One of my favorite restaurants when I visit San Diego. Facing the Harbour filled with yachts of every description, with an elegant yet California feel to it. I watched the staff carefully lay out the linens, crystal and China with care. Staff was busy but attentive and genuinely friendly. Food is always exquisitely prepared and presented. I had a whitefish encrusted with macadamia nuts served with perfectly cooked asparagus ( and a good glass of Rose'). My partner had the Filet Mignon. It was cooked medium rare (melt in your mouth), with bock choy and teriyaki scalloped potatoes. Delicious. Try the Pineapple Upside Cake with a scoop of ice cream for desert....

The food is great, the drinks are great, you will leave feeling satisfied but your wallet will leave feeling empty. We ate there mid afternoon during comic con and they seated us within 20 minutes, but we also sat for long periods of time. We were all really happy with what we ordered, but the price seems higher than what it was worth. I think the cheapest entree was $48.

Came to celebrate my birthday here after seeing some of the phenomenal reviews and a recommendation from family. Starting with the appetizer, we ordered the ahi roll which came in six slices. The flavor was very light with some mild spice when you hit the center of the roll. A perfect way to get your taste buds prepped for your main course. I opted for the 8 oz filet after multiple recommendations and was not disappointed. Very tender and melts in your mouth with every bite. The juices complimenting the meat gave a perfect mixture of flavor that makes you want to continue eating this delightful entree. The scalloped potatoes were very thinly cut and lots of cheese flavor, slightly overpowering. There was a vegetable medley to help clear your palate in between bites as well. My girlfriend ordered the salmon which is by far one of the best salmon dishes. I was able to experience. Very rich in flavor and the fish causes your salivary glands to overflow as you wait for your next bite. The salmon came paired with rice, nothing too amazing but just a standard side option when pairing with seafood. Lastly, we come to the dessert. It was enough for four people to share and not being a huge cake person. I was surprised by the balance of flavor in the dish. It wasn't too sweet, which I usually don't like due to sensitive teeth, but I was able to eat all of the cake and ice cream that I served onto my plate. There was enough to cover the four people at our table and have everybody feel satisfied. Overall, it was a very pleasurable experience. Dress code is and if I were to have any criticisms it wouldn't be anything with the food at the restaurant, but rather the parking and location of the restaurant as it is Bayside and not easily accessible without a decent walk. Would absolutely come here again for a special occasion.

Just ok. I get it. Others love this place. The food is good and service ok but overall, at lot of hype and quite pricey. If there was a significant difference in seafood quality or service, sure, but for us, just ok when cut through to the core. Our experience was that the service was rushed. It was not individualized. It wasn't busy either. Our special occasion which they made a big deal about on the phone when we reserved was completely missed. And the plating a bit messy and sloppy. The highlight? The Mai Tai. Delightful.

Agree with above. Not required but suggested. You would feel out of place in shorts and a tank top.
