I LOVE a good barbecue place! However, Busters is a bit hit or miss. This trip was no different. The spare ribs were dry but tasted good. I like their spicy BBQ sauce. It made the ribs okay. The brisket was a bit sub par... it was cut un chunks and not in strips like brisket should be. The hot sausage links are awesome. The baked beans were really good and the potato salad was tops on the list. My wife's chicken was dry and the beef rib looked a little pitiful but some of it was okay. Speaking of chicken, on the menu it is listed as a 1/2 chicken but it's actually a quarter chicken. She ended up with the white portion. Not her favorite. Would I be back? I probably would. I've been there in the past and it was much better.

very misleading on prices. online prices don't match.thought I was getting 3 meat combo for $23 paid and was charged $30. man serving said any 3 meats.cashier said baby back ribs weren't included. dumbfounded. then went to buy pie that was online for $13 charged $23. food was good but this will prob keep me from coming back.its the little things.

There is a difference in what people's definition of BBQ is as you travel around the country. But Texas BBQ is the standard by which other's are judged. How this place exists in Portland is a mystery to me. Pre pandemic a buddy and I were looking for a place for lunch and Buster's sounded good. 2 years later and worth the wait. Real BBQ brisket, I do the sandwich chopped, beans and sweet tea. Real southern sweet tea. Full condiment bar with sauces and pickles. I need to go back and try the chocolate cream pie. Great attitude, good prices, mmmmmmm good. Put your boots on, amble in, stroll out satisfied.

I have had an awkward experience with the young man at check out or calling in orders, he's kind of rude or maybe its its a lack of discernment,. I enjoy going there or calling in when Doug's working. I have worked in Gresham for twenty years and go to the Gresham Location out of convenience I decide to go elsewhere today and last time because of the same dark haired young man. McLaughlin Busters has great staff and a super nice young Hispanic man. Thanks Busters for reading this comment, maybe some counsel with this young person could turn him around.
