UPS overall is an excellent shipping company, BUT you can't ship anything from the Spencer, Iowa store until AFTER 4:30 PM. They don't even open till 4:30 PM, no idea how long they are open.

I stopped in to do a simple Amazon return (the instructions from Amazon said to take the package to a UPS store and show them the QR code so they can print the label and ship it). The incompetent lady at the front desk was rude and short tempered when she informed me that they cannot scan those, they're not a real UPS store, just a "shipping center" and that the nearest one was hours away. She offered no help to my dilemma and I had to leave without sending the package.

I think the Spence Iowa branch of UPS is a complete joke. I deal with this specific branch for both work and personal. Packages show up damaged more often then not and now because they can’t drop my packages at my door like I have requested... a package I paid extra to have it next day is now lost or stolen... Thanks a lot UPS!

Kudos to the driver delivering northwest of Graettinger today! I was out for a walk on our gravel road with our dog and our four-year-old. He made sure to slow all the way down as he went past us.
