Great new apartments in Slab Town. Great location with a large park just two blocks away and lots of restaurants, coffeehouses, pubs and shops within walking distance.

This brand new building has been a joy to live in for the last number of weeks since my wife and I received our keys. The transparency around the application process far exceeded expectations and I cannot say enough positive things about the leasing agents that are at The Celine. The neighborhood is nestled quite beautifully between a single lot from NW 23rd and two blocks from an amazing park that if you have a dog you will absolutely love. The parking - accurate as of the date of this review - is not difficult at all, which is hard to say in a NW neighborhood of Portland. Plenty of options on the street, and they have quite a few spots remaining if you prefer to keep your car behind an access-controlled gate. The apartments on the inside are quite modern and should you make the wise decision to move in, you will notice some cool new feature on one of the appliances almost on the daily for the first full week. That's saying a lot as I am not a stranger to understanding electronics and gadgets. So if you want to not only have awesome neighbors *clears throat* but also want to be walking distance to everything you could need or desire and be in a building that everyone walks by and comments (in a positive way, not in a "they are ruining Portland" way) on the building then you should probably give them a call and stop by today. It is not a big building and there have been "taken" signs added to apartment doors in the 40-unit building almost daily. Happy hunting!

Let me start out by saying this will not be a standard review. I only write reviews when they are 100% deserved and I have done enough research to objectively bring my opinion value. Briefly I will give a summary of my situation leading up to my decision to live at The Celine so that the full picture is perceived. My husband and I lived at one of the best buildings under one of the most legit property management teams in Portland but our lease was up and we wanted to live in a NW neighborhood. We moved here almost 2 years ago from Los Angeles and just wanted to be in a vibrantly alive neighborhood again. The search for our next home was on like Donkey Kong. Between the research I have done when moving out of state in addition to the one other time I moved within Portland, I have seen, spoken with, and emailed almost every new and old building that exists or is going to in the near future. If you don't believe me, contact me. I will prove it. I am picky and my home in addition to where I put my money is very important to me. That said I had visited all the buildings you see on every apartment search site. Many of them have significant concessions and offer certain ammenities that are appealing. What I found was that their vibe, lack of professionalism, or the value for what you would be living in didn't match the hype. In conclusion I chose The Celine and the two most significant factors leading to my decision are: 1. It is by far the hottest building on the block in one of the coolest neighborhoods. 2. Brittany Gareau is an amazing leasing agent that was not only knowledgeable, professional, helpful, patient, and respectful - but also kind. In my experience there are plenty of leasing agents out there who are literally just trying to make a sale, lazy, or underdeveloped in their skills; not to mention I believe a good percentage are most likely practicing unethically. I will not go into detail but consider yourself warned. Renting a home is very different than purchasing a pair of shoes. I will let you think that over and get to why The Celine should be your next choice if you are looking for a new spot. 1. The modern black and white interiors, all hardwood flooring, beautiful floor to ceiling windows, all the technologically advanced appliances, and amazing lighting is to die for. 2. The neighborhood is off the hook. You get the best of both worlds. It's happening but not crazy like the Pearl District. You feel that true Portland vibe. A little city a little nature. The streets are safe, well lit, and filled with great shops, restaurants, and entertainment venues. 3. Since I have moved in I have seen several people on a daily basis walk past the building in awe and making complimentary statements or express desire to live here. 4. I did the research for you - save yourself time, effort, and don't be dumb! 5. I will be your neighbor!
