Apple River Family Campground

We've been camping here for 3 seasons, before the apple river gets crazy. This place could be so nice. Sites are muddy, grass un-mowed, playground falling apart. This is probably our last year.

Very nice even on Labor day weekend it didn't feel over crowded . Not loud at night. Clean bathrooms and showers they are pay showers ,so your aware but plenty of time per quarter never needed to spend more then .50. Staff was very nice and accommodating. Will be back very soon.

We rented 2 cabins for the weekend. Both cabins were very dirty. Bugs and food all over mattress pads. Garbage under the bed, which could easily be seen when placing bedding on. Baby bottle stuck between the wall and mattress. It was easy to tell that it hadn't even been looked over before new customers arrive. Considering the price, I would have expected it was at least clean. The cost is not competitive for the area, but the other campgrounds book out quicker. Overall the experience was not bad. Likely if we do this again, we'll be staying somewhere else or renting a travel trailer at a much lesser cost.

The staff was absolutely amazing! Friendly and welcoming. We were new this year. The staff answered any questions we had about the area. They were wonderful with our kiddos! We throughly enjoyed our stayed. I personally did not want to leave. We will be back!
