When I first called Pearl Painters they sent out an estimator to go over all of the work. Once they’re done talking to you they film a video of the whole house talking you through what they’re going to do and what you, the client needs to do prior to the work. They then email you a copy of the video. This was very helpful. Once they start the work they really start to work. It movies pretty fast. Every day I received a text from the foreman Craig explaining what work was done that day and the agenda for the next day. On all of these texts Brian the owner is cc’d to be made aware of all the work that’s being done. I was quite pleased with the communication and the quality of work. Attention to detail was excellent especially when it came to painting the trim. I had a neighbor who thought it would be hysterical to report me to the city while I was having construction work done prior to the painting. Even though I had licensed contractors and the work that was being done was replacement work, not an additional dwelling unit like the neighbor told the city. Well, whenever the city gets a complaint all work has to shut down whether you’re working legally or not. So I had 3 months of no work being performed on my house because of one my good buddies out back. I already had the painting scheduled for the first week of June. Pearl painters worked with the contractors once the “ban” was lifted to make sure they could get there work done while the painters did their prep. Since I (like my neighbor) have a sense of humor Pearl Painters helped me do something outside of their normal work. They were able to paint a special message in the roof of my upper deck. We've used Pearl Painters for both our interior and exterior painting needs since we moved to Portland 7+ years ago. For our most recent project, in November 2021, they repainted our kitchen cabinets and the master bath vanity, both of which had gotten scuffed up from our use of the indented finger pulls on them. In addition to painting, they also installed pull hardware on all the doors and drawers. The final product looks great, and we couldn't be happier! Pearl isn't the least expensive, but we feel that you get what you pay for. Brian and his team are professional, do quality work, and are pleasant to deal with. I recommend them highly!

Pearl Painters did an amazing job painting the interior of our house last week. Very professional and reliable crew. They were there when they said they would be, super respectful of the house and us (we were working from home most of the time), cleaned up after themselves, and had us do a walkthrough once they were finished so that we could point out any areas of concern, which they remedied asap. This was my first experience hiring painters and we'd work with them again for sure!

All prices are firm and will not change, unless you change the scope of work that was previously agreed upon. As well if there is a justifiable cost change that additional work / cost must be approved by you before that additional work starts. So NO there will NOT be any surprise price changes at the end!
Good question! Before any work is scheduled the owner of the company would meet with you onsite to discuss the options available along with the pros and cons of different levels of prep, types of paint etc. Once a specific scope of work is agreed upon then he would provide a detailed bid.
Yes, we have skilled craftsmen fully trained in a cabinet coatings. Detailed sanding, cleaning, oil based bonding primers and fine finish spray or hand brushed oil and water based enamel finishes for oak, cherry, maple, alder, fir as well as previously painted cabinets. We can make them look better than new!

Great question -- Yes all of our employees that set foot on your property are covered by our workers compensation insurance policy. This protects you from being liable for injuries that happen on your property. BTW did you know that if you hire a contractor that does not have insurance for their employees that you then become responsible. And since all employers by law are required to carry this insurance your homeowners insurance will not pay out! This is a BIG ONE to watch out for. Always confirm this policy is active before you hire. And if you hire a contractor that subcontracts you have to check that sub to make sure they have a workers comp policy too! We only use in house W-2 Employees. We do NOT subcontract any of our painting work. It's important to us and our clients to maintain control of the quality and the schedule and that is very difficult to do with subcontractors.
