Lots of features for a well-rounded neighborhood park: beautiful tall trees, playgrounds, sledding hill and ice rink for winter, splash pool for the summer. Tennis courts and basketball hoops available whenever it's not snowy! The rec center is open again for the public, including bathrooms.

Every year for the past 12 years we as a family have to be at Mathews Park for the winter sledding season. We did so as kids and now we bring our kids to the same place.

Pretty fun. Nice groomed trails with work out stations. Fruiting trees and an enormous community garden that needs harvesting badly. But alas, even though it's been pretty much forgotten, even if not, there is so much food going to waste. And I would be trespassing if I grabbed a veg I knew was going iff soon.

A great park for all ages. This is our neighborhood park - so we come here often. There are 3 different jungle gyms - one for each age group of 1-2, 3-5, 5-10. There is a wading pool open in the summer. 2 baseball fields / soccer fields. Sand box area. A nice path around the whole park - great for walking, biking, roller blading.

I'm pretty sure you cannot. There isn't really a shelter or anything.

Do I need a permit to teach a free yoga class in this park?

In some places that may be a requirement, however if it's a free class for people then I don't think it's necessary. It would be a good idea to tell people the honest truth about where you learned, and how long you've been doing Yoga.
