I seriously love bringing my animals here. They do such a wonderful job, and it never feels like a traumatic experience for either of us. A million stars and all the puppy kisses!

Both the Vet and staff at Echo Ridge have been nothing but kind, welcoming, and compassionate. After a not-so-great experience with a different vet in the area for my senior age dog, I decided to look around and find a different vet. I found Echo Ridge while searching for a place to get a feral and stray "fixed". I was nervous bringing these cats in, they are definitely not the most friendly to strangers - the staff at Echo Ridge treated them with love and top quality care. I will absolutely bring ALL my current and future animals to this vet. ALL interactions I have had with any staff member (both over the phone and in person) including the vet, have been nothing but positive and helpful - even with a parking lot full of cars. All my questions are answered, my concerns are discussed, and I am confident my animals are being treated with kindness and skill. Thank you for being so awesome and being the BEST vet in the area!! I know all my animals are in good, capable hands!

The owner and veterinarian of this Hospital....Dr. MacKinnon, i cannot say anything good about. She was crass, accusatory, arrogant and dismissive. Please ask for Dr. Olsen or the other 1 day a week veterinarian. Having been a pet owner for over 50 years, I do not believe I have ever met a veterinarian who accuses a patient of abuse without any prior experience with myself or my 8 year old cat with a canine coming out. Of course. I didnt actually get to meet this Vet. It was a phone call. She even said, She did not want to pull the tooth because she may get bit. She even refused until we demanded to give the cat an antibiotic ! The cats face was swollen, the tooth black and easily moved. When confronted about the antibiotic, she became even more accusatory and asked, just how long had there been an infection? An infection she missed? When told that we had been trying to get in for over 4 days and had brought her in as a drop off just as soon as they could see her, she just became more dismissive and said," well there are other dental issues as well, I cannot treat her until March 14th, oh and it would be over 600.00 to treat my cat, without telling me the issue. In fact, she said the tooth would probably just fall out by then....Just a estimate from the front desk. So after driving for over an hr to drop my cat off at 8:15am and waiting all day until 2- 2:30 to be seen, it turns out I was hearing from the most unprofessional veterinarian i have ever dealt with. The facility has great staff helping her. Staff who apologized when I complained. A veterinarian who obviously really is not interested in patients. Bad day.....doubtful.... too arrogant to have a bad day. It's too bad, because we really need rural veterinarians, unfortunately Dr. MacKinnon simply did not have the time to truly treat my pet. I had authorized 500.00 right off the top for possible blood work on the infection or exrays of teeth or what ever treatment my cat needed! Instead, I get this ridiculous apparent veterinarian visit, lots of accusatory dialog and find out, nothing was actually done. So my 16 pound cats dental work is supposed to be, 1 minor extraction, 1 major and one surgical extraction....all without an x ray........ if she could get that close, she could have pulled the tooth causing the issue which just might fall out anyway! BTW, my 100lb rough Collie had surgery there for a genetic dental issue where all her gums had to be cut back because they were overcoming her teeth for less money then my cat..... Highly recommend going elsewhere no matter the cost. My pets and frankly myself deserve better treatment.

My mother is on a VERY limited income.. She has a precious 8 month old gremlin that in my opinion broke his paw. It's been days, he still can't apply any pressure to it. Is there anything I can do to make him more comfortable until we can get?himseen

I'm by no means a professional but try to keep his movement limited at the very least so the poor guy doesn't hurt himself worse!

Our little 4 year old long haired chihuahua and pomeranian mix keeps going into coughing attacks. What can I do.

Your dog's health issue would be best addressed by a veterinarian performing a thorough health exam. There are many reasons why a dog will cough (respiratory infection, allergies, tracheal collapse, lodged foreign body to name just a few). Call and schedule an appointment for your dog...Drs. McKinnon and Barker-Olson are very good, caring veterinarians who'll give your fur baby the attention they need and deserve. In the meantime, keep a journal of when your dog begins these coughing spells, what he/she was doing right before the coughing began, and what if anything seems to relieve the cough (ex- drinking or eating, laying down and resting...), how long the coughing persisted, when you first noticed the problem, and any changes you have made in your dog's food or home environment prior to the coughing beginning.
