As far as Safeways go this one is very nice. It is clean, modern, and well stocked. I've never had to wait in line and their deli staff is very accommodating.

I bought broccoli and some pastries, and it was hot out so I decided to go back in for something sweet and juicy. I bought three fruit leathers, and a handful of cherries. I was in the store for less than two minutes the second time, and a black guy with short dreads (loss prevention) stopped me, and tried to tell me I had a bunch of "extra" stuff in my first bag, like grapes and such. I think when I was grabbing a handful of cherries (because for the bagged fruits, you don't HAVE TO buy the whole bag - it's by weight) they decided I was a their, without actually paying attention to if I paid for the stuff after. By that argument, ANYONE who touches merchandise might be a theif! It was literally less than minute between when I grabbed cherries and when I walked out the doors. Then he started mocking my receipt, and asking me about everything in my bag, even stuff he didn't think I stole. Stuff he had no reason to think I didn't purchase. He was profiling, and not using information about how I shopped or behaved, as his justification for trying to apprehend me. He just looked at me like he still thought I was lying, but he had to let me go. They DID have a 4 star rating from me, but not anymore. This same thing happened to me at the Safeway on Mission and Hamilton.

Prices are expensive, inventory is low, and service is really bad. I asked for help finding some thing and the employee that I asked rolled her eyes at me and told me it would be on either aisle 16 or 17. I’ve already been there and couldn’t find them and I expressed that to her and she responded that they had just changed everything o she doesn’t know, and she couldn’t leave her post to help me. I asked if she could call someone who stocks the shelves and maybe they would know, and she finally agreed. Someone came then and helped me in 5 seconds. She was so disgustingly rude I have decided I will no longer shop here, ever again!

The store and staff are 5 star, however the wifi signal is horrible. It's that way at all Safeway stores. I use my phone to do my job and I'm there 4 or 5 times a day and I always have to go outside to reconnect. Such a pain.

I have no idea. I have never ordered groceries online. My only suggestion is to call the store directly.

If so Safeway doesn’t hack them. The money is loaded on the gift card while you check out. The only way the money is gone is if someone else used your gift card or hacked it or if you took a gift card without checking out.
Call the store and ask to get on the phone with a worker in that department, and ask them :)
