This safeway has a beautiful Bakery no matter if the bakery is open or closed the 29th. Street A.M. manager makes sure we have the goodies we come looking for .

I forget the managers name that's been working the register by himself for what seems like weeks straight, but you're rockin it. Cool as a cucumber when like 8 people lined up behind us. Anyways, this is our store so yeah. See you guys next week haha

Checker having a bad day? Don’t be rude to the customers! We witnessed checker Cindy at checkout 5 rudely not listening to a customer about about cash back. All the lady wanted was change from the amount she gave the clerk! Cindy kept saying she couldn’t give change. She was clearly not understanding the customer! The customer didn’t want cash back, just change back from the amount she paid with. It was ridiculous to witness!. Then it was our turn! We brought our own bags and she asked if we were going to bag the groceries ourselves. Uh, I guess so! It was how she said it.

The Safeway at 29th and Southeast in Spokane is a pretty reliably well-stocked and clean grocery store with many organic, gluten-free and non-dairy products available which is important to me. My only reservation about whether to give 5 stars is that they often have very few checkers on duty which can slow down the checkout process, especially if buying produce, which isn't always easy to check out at the "self-checkout" area. All in all, I'm happy to have this store close by and use it often.
