Stopped by this saloon on a Saturday before 9 pm and there was no line no waiting to enter. Plenty of brews on tap to choose from. Server was attentive and friendly. Didn't eat anything but the beers came to the table quickly. Fun place.

A good watering he right in the heart of the Pearl district. It seems to hit just the right balance of upscale, without being pretentious. Housed in an old Portland brick building, with an aged atmosphere you just can't emulate in a newer building. A mostly younger crowd, lots of girls in tight dresses, vying to be seen. Good selection of beers on Tao, and a full bar. Our waitress was attentive and fun. I will definitely be back

We went to River Pig for a late breakfast. It is a classic dark bar, barstools surrounding the bar in the center, tables on the periphery. Service was top notch, bar maid friendly and responsive. I ordered a breakfast burrito and my wife ordered the Eggs Benedict. Her meal was excellent. Unfortunately, my breakfast burrito was completely burned on one side. I couldn't believe the cook would serve it like that. The burned side made the whole thing taste a little burnt. The bar maid was kind enough to not charge us for the burrito without even asking her to. Overall a great place, just hope the cook takes a little more pride in his cooking in the future
