Unfortunately, I have to edit my review. Since I last reviewed this place there has been a significant diminishment in customer service and general workmanship. I can't speculate on the cause. I know that there was new management sometime back and I would assume that they are hurting from staffing and all of that. They do an adequate job but it's not the place it used to be. Almost 3 years of taking my vehicles there tells me that. Some examples of specific things that come to mind that make me say this are: 1. I've always dropped my vehicles off in the morning and left them and they get to it when they do. I've even told them I'd leave it over night if they didn't get to it. It was never a problem for almost 3 years until now. Now suddenly, you HAVE to have an appointment for an oil change. 2. I used to take a Tesla there and the first time they serviced it there were never any issues. The next time I took it was under new management and it was a bit of a hassle. I had to buy the jack point pucks (which they either used to have or didn't use before, can't say) and then after servicing my tire pressures weren't just off by 1 or 2 PSI, they were off by more than 5 and all of the tires had markedly different pressures. I would assume for a tire shop, getting the tire pressures even (and correct according to the specifications) shouldn't be a difficult task but maybe I'm being nit picky. 3. There's definitely just been a change in the general atmosphere. Morale seems low and the staff seem less courteous as a result. Again, that might be speculation but that's how it seems. Hopefully it's just a rough patch like many businesses are going through right now. I won't be around to be able to say.

I have been a Les Schwab fan for the last 16 years. I have been using the Keizer location for the last 6 years. That is an amazing location, the customer service is the best I have ever had. Recently I have moved to the Monmouth are, and the independence location is the closest Les Schwab to me. After paying the bill and picking up the vehicle I have a few things to say. The service technicians seem to find something in the vehicle that needed to be changed. First it was the front tires. Then it was the rear brakes then it was the front brakes and finally the ball joints and wheel bearings. It seemed that they just kept tacking on items that needed to be replaced every time they came back in to talk to me. After leaving them I went to my friends shop and stuck car up on the lift. All but the tires needed to be replaced. Everything else was fine for at least another 30,000 miles. I highly recommend the Keizer Les Schwab and suggest you avoid the independence location.

We bought a farm wagon not long ago and one of the tires on it was sliced open by a large piece of metal and went flat. The farm store didn't sell replacement tires so we got one from Harbor Freight and took it to Les Schwab to be mounted. The folks at Les Schwab were great! We told them we'd like the tire mounted and all the tires loaded with slime so hopefully a puncture wouldn't put the wagon out of commission again. The guy helping us explained adding slime can be great in certain circumstances but it does have it's pros and cons. He provided us with information we hadn't known about and that could have saved us money. However since we use the wagon on a daily basis going with slime was actually a good option and that's what we chose to do. They did the job really quickly as well! We dropped in with no appointment and while I was telling the inside crew what I needed they had a guy outside with my sister unloading the wagon and tire. I'll bet it didn't take him much more than half an hour to finish up the job. It's been a few years since I've been to this Les Schwab but I'll tell you the quality of service hasn't changed one bit. It's top notch!

Have been a Schwab customer and supporter for 20 years. While it's beneficial to have a shop available everywhere you travel in the NorthWest. Their prices are horrendous. For a simple rear brake pad replacement they insisted both calipers be replaced as well, for a bill of $1100. Another well know,national shop was able to replace the $10 slide pin and pads for $300. Scwabb is not the same company it once was. They now go for gouging their customers whenever possible.Avoid unless you like paying 3x+ the cost
