Two hours was gone in a flash! The whole family enjoyed the tour, the breeze, and all the history!! The wildlife were hiding but our boat Captain was as well read as he was skilled - that was very visible! Highly recommended!! Book early; book often!!

Fantastic place to visit. Great gift shop with food. Reasonably priced all the way around. Wish they had more Mann Gulch merchandise as they were out of my size for what I wanted, but I'm sure it's popular. Our tour guide was incredible! Very informative & he kept us laughing. I wish I could remember his name, but he sure made the day! Can't wait to go on this again next time we visit! You made it worth it!

This is a must-do for anyone whether you live in Montana or are just visiting!! It is one of the best things that I have done anywhere in this state. I have had multiple visitors stay with me this summer, and I’ve taken everyone on this adventure. I could do the boat trip every day and never get tired of seeing the incredible canyons and unspoiled, preserved landscapes along the banks of the Missouri River. They have two different types of tour boats that go out. One boat is enclosed, but has outside seating and a bathroom on board, and the other boat is all open, but stops at one of the campgrounds along the river for a bathroom break on the way back. The captains of the boats provide a very wonderful, entertaining, and educational background regarding the history of the river, the famous explorers, and the native landscapes. It’s so hard to describe the experience of it all and the immense beauty that you’ll see, even with the attached pictures. This is one of the most relaxing adventures that you can do. It is a perfect venture for any family trip and something fun to do with your kids. It is unlike anything else that I have done, and different than any other vistas that you’ll see traveling to a Montana state or national park. There are bathrooms and picnic tables available at the docks if you want to have lunch before you head out. There is also a gift store that sells all sorts of drinks, snacks and ice cream. You are allowed to bring snacks and non-alcoholic drinks aboard the boats. I would certainly recommend that plus sunscreen. I would also recommend wearing a hat if you’re on the open boat. Both boats have coolers of drinking water and cups too. Even with as many smoke filled days from the wildfires this summer, the passage way down the river canyons have always remained clear. Again, this is one of the best and most affordable things that you can do with your family.

Yes. The boats are large with nice seating and high sides. They carry plenty of life jackets and the drivers are well acquainted with the channel depths, etc. Lots of cool rock formations and some wildlife to watch for on the trip, even some Indian rock paintingsm
Yes you can but confirm before you purchase ticket. There's a couple boats and the one I went on did stop but my roommate went on one that didn't.
Once you've done the tour? After getting off the boat, it should be in the parking lot to your left.
According to their website, it looks like they go through September.
No. I believe Coulter campgrounds is the closest place with cabins. The boat ride is incredible.
