What a wonderful experience. The staff here are very personal. You aren't just another patient or pay check. The front desk gal was quick, the intake nurse was a great teacher to her student on hand, my room nurse was great at listening, even the lab techs were awesome and my doctor! Let me tell you about her, she listened, she was sooo busy yet made time, she explained everything clearly, and had a game plan on what was going to be done even after I've been discharged.

The entire experience was top notch care! I came in the ER with pain after a colonoscopy and from start to finish they took the best care of me. I am from Tacoma and I could never have imagined such warmth and care in a hospital. Thank you all!

Don't waste your time going here, just drive to Hood river or Portland. It could be the difference between life or death. I've heard so many stories of them missing serious health issues. We took my brother here once , they said it was nothing and sent him home. My brother continued to have excruciating pain, to the point that he couldn't walk. We took him to Portland. Come to find out he had an infection in his hip bone. Drs in Portland said had we waited any longer, his leg would've been amputated from the hip down. He ended up being hospitalized for about 3 months to clear the infection. This is absolutely unacceptable. I'm not sure how they remain open. This incident with my brother happened several years ago, to this day I'm hearing similar stories. I can't speak for all the departments but this was our experience in the ED. I wouldn't recommend anyone here ever.

When I was 19 I came in because I threw out my back, i think. After this experience i never got the pain and loss of movement checked out. It went away a couple days later. My boyfriend at the time carried me from the car into the er. The doctors did a quick lookover and said there was nothing they could do. I asked if they were sure. Ibuprofen wasn't touching anything. The doc said there was one thing but it was painful and had to be done without anesthetic and that was an L.P.. Turns out you can get a topical anesthetic for an LP. They were treating a scared 19 year old who had just moved to that town as yet another drug seeker. Treating all the patients as drug seekers and not believing them about their symptoms will get people killed. Then again one of the doctors there wanted to give my dad angina medication for congestive heatr failure (the meds would have made his CHF worse and killed him) so.... im not suprised by the abhorrent incompetence displayed by this hospital.
