Trader Joe's has the best produce available outside of the farmers market. Prices are more reasonable than Nugget. Staff is always friendly and I go to Trader Joe's at least 3x a week.

I love the Davis Trader Joe's. The staff is always friendly, the prices are comparable (actually, they are better than other local grocery stores), and the food is high quality. You also see people actively wearing masks and trying to stay healthy, so this is a great place for shopping and bringing kids or those more vulnerable to the pandemic. One complaint: the person who decided to make their chocolate covered toffee chips seasonal needs a stern talking to.

A quirky place. You'll find a ton of healthy options here, from nuts to dried and (not that many) fresh fruits, to kale chips. A good selection of cereal. GREAT PICKLE CHIPS. A good selection of alcohol, from hard, to wine, to beer, to seltzer, to cider, to hard kombucha.
