You would think the CAPITOL OF MAINE would want to host concerts, draw people in from other towns. But rarely is there anything except for a basketball tournament. The Civic Center could be a GEM. Each month hosting a concert with vendors of all types even on the outside, selling crafts and food. Inside the concert would be happening. Augusta needs to start thinking about how to draw people IN, having concerts each month also means restaurants getting more business, gas stations, stores, people will want to stay and see the Capitol. Right now our Capital is just another little town that people leave to attend concerts and nicer restaurants in Portland. Why? We have the Civic Center right here, make it a gem so Augusta can become the place families come for entertainment.
