Our kids enjoyed so much this amazing camp! Great activities, sports, arts and handcraft. They made great friends and enjoyed every moment. Safety, covid - 19 protocols and medical attention were excellent. Steven and Mama Brooke have all under control organizing the camp in every detail, always helpful and very welcoming. The first question our oldest asked us if if they were going to go next summer. I guess they had a blast !

That is a great question Meg. You are able to schedule a call with your child after the first week of camp. We allow 1 call every session of camp. You would also receive a phone call within the first 48 hours with an update on how your child is doing. We do allow you to email your child as much as you like. We print out those emails and deliver it with daily. You child can also write you an e-letter. This handwritten letter is sent to you via email.

Sleep away camp, like Camp North Star, is a great opportunity for campers to develop a sense of independence and build their self esteem and self confidence. We also help campers develop strong friendships and create memories that will last a lifetime.
There's not one age that is truly appropriate. At Camp North Star we have boys and girls who are between the ages of 7 - 17 years old. And we have new campers starting at all ages. We do have a terrific job of making everyone feel at home and part of the family. There are also 3 divisions of campers, based on age, so we are able to have age appropriate activities for all our campers.
Camp North Star is known as either a sleep away camp or an overnight camp. Those terms are interchangeable. The campers live at Camp North Star for anywhere from 2 - 7 weeks. We have very modern cabins with private bathroom. There are 2 - 3 staff and 8 - 10 campers in every cabin. Being away from home teaches the campers some independence, responsibility and critical thinking skills that they wouldn't learn at a day camp.
Camp, specifically a sleep away camp, like Camp North Star teaches children essential life skills while helping learning a sense of independence and resiliency while being away from home. At Camp North Star, we focus on four 21st century life skills - communications, collaboration, critical thinking and creativity.
A sleep way camp is a summer program when campers live at the camp for a set number of weeks. Camp North Star is sleep away camp for boys and girls, ages 7 - 17. Campers live with us for a minimum of 2 weeks and a maximum of 7 weeks. They live in cabins with other campers their age and gender and are supervised by counselors at all times.
