I’m sure this place is a lovely little time when the lake is on the cleaner side (or when one is unaware that Wylie has had numerous sewage spills 🥴). I’m sure many people love it. It has glowing reviews. Here, however, we’re calling a spade a spade. This is not a public park. It is a residents only park which allows pedestrian visitors (I didn’t see any sidewalks and don’t know the area, but I’m assuming you could walk in from somewhere?) and/or non resident members. I mean, that is what that $100 “parking permit” is. It is a membership fee to the park. That is semi-false advertising on an annoying level. The frequent park explorer is typically prepared for an admissions fee or daily parking permit at a lakeside park with swimming, state and national parks, and the like. But they don’t anticipate ponying up $100. Not only that, but I called the town - and you even have to leave and go to the town hall to acquire such a permit. That’s a chore. The other option is to pay that $100 as a fine. So, if you wanna join - cool. But it isn’t really a great casual spot for a family to drop in. Best Regards to you, Bougie Cay 😘

Finally after getting Tega Cay permit we spend lovely evening at the beach. They have picnic tables, benches, restrooms, playground, swings and beaches. Enjoyed the warm evening at the beach and kids played with sands and water.

Please clean up after yourselves!! Good fun little beach. Nice little park for children. Overlook deck to view the lake. Best place to watch the sunset!

Beautiful park with 3 small beaches, benches, playground with swings, gazebo, clean bathrooms, and floating dock to launch kayaks. Gets crowded in the summer months. Not many parking spots. Must have a parking permit from the city of Tega Cay to park here. Parts of the park can be reserved from the city for private events. They have a free water skiing show on Fridays during the summer. Great place to bring the family for some swimming or just hang out. Highly recommend.

We don't live in Tega Cay but we were able to get a parking permit for $100 and it has been great!
You can get a permit from tega cay town hall, but it will cost you.
It is a public park but you have to have a parking pass from city hall
