Little beat up, but if you are looking for a regular place, its really great. Instead of a fancy, overpriced snack kiosk where they try put a bow on a Hershey's bar (fancy lighting, etc.) and charge twice what you'd find at any store, they put it in a vending machine and charge a more regular price ($1-$2, not $3-4). Having kids, I appreciated not getting robbed. Pool and room were as regular as anyplace else. Very close to aquarium and other stores and restaurants.

This hotel is... fine. We were here for a night in the off season (mid-April) and it served as a staging point for us to explore Mystic. The hotel is off the beaten track if your goal is the seaport area, but is convenient to the Aquarium and surrounding attractions. Of note: 1. The staff was FRIENDLY. The breakfast attendant was super friendly and talkative. 2. The interior is DATED and the beds are hard and uncomfortable. The hotel was clearly a smoking hotel at some point, and though the owners have gone out of their way to clean it up, it still smells like a smoking hotel. 3. Breakfast was a weak showing. There was almost nothing that my children would eat. I can honestly say that the hotel would be better off not offering breakfast and cutting $10 off the room fare. 4. The fire door to the upper level is upside down. The door was either intentionally installed upside down to give a better view of the stairs by putting the window lower down or the door was damaged at some point and they had to turn it over to save money making repairs. Either way, it put the handle at an unwieldy height to the users. Side Note: There was a stack of material in the parking lot that made me think that the hotel is getting ready for a renovation. If this is the case, it may address two of my three complaints and would make room for a better review.

The room was not as clean as I would have liked. I happened to have some all purpose disinfectant in my car and for my comfort used it on most of the surfaces. The lobby did in fact smell of weed and some of the halls had dog hair. This place would be much better if CLEANED BETTER.

Clean room, easy check in, and EXCELLENT water pressure for the shower. This place is a great deal for the price. Booked through Expedia. I have paid more for MUCH less. Will book again the next time I hit up the casinos. I feel like many negative reviews for this place are coming from customers expecting a Ritz Carlton experience. It's a Days Inn. It's a budget hotel, and a GOOD one at that. Our room had a quirky bathroom door (which we found hilarious as opposed to off putting) , and a nook with a table. 10/10 would stay again!
