Many charitable organizations claim to provide great service to the community but not as many live up to the hype. When the chips were down during the COVID pandemic, the Boys and Girls club of Greater Santa Rosa kept their doors open and provided care for the children of essential workers and all others in need of support. The team, with the executive director, Amber at their helm works tirelessly to provide a fun, safe, educational and socially interactive experience for the children who attend. If I could give another star I would! My son is 5 yrs old and sometimes I had trouble getting him to his old daycare - which is understandable given he was one of the oldest and still had naptime. But it is a whole different story with the Boys and Girls Club. He is excited to go every morning and always wants to be the last one picked up! They offer lunch, snacks & tons of activities and games (they just a had a slip and slide day)! Every interaction I've had with the staff had be friendly and they are wonderfully affordable!

I've been trying to find a place that would "TRY" and help in the middle of this crisis but its so much easier for someone to say " oh sorry we are booked and have no options for you", Its been very hard and overwhelming for myself and children during covid-19 to find any openings and places to offer help for zoom or school activities. John went above and beyond and made me feel like there was still hope in the community! Its so sad to see that Santa Rosa lacks in the community support for its city. Thanks again john for the great info and time today and impacting families! just wish i was actually making more than i could spend in Day care/ Boys and girls Clubs! its really hard.

What a turn around form the past. This place under new leadership has been transformed into a wonderful place for kids. The staff is friendly and helpful. Keep up the great work! Best Boys and Girls Club in Santa Rosa.
