Went to see Ansel Adams exihibit on the Manzanar Japanese concentration camp. Beautiful and moving photos, internees' s art work and a great narrative. The experience moved me to buy Adams' book "Born Free and Equal".

Great price for a day of looking at amazing art. Inside and outside. My children love it. They offer free parking. If you need to leave for whatever reason you can come back later with your receipt and continue looking. It's right downtown so it's easy to find and in a beautiful building with so much of its own history. Then curators know so much and are so willing to help with any questions you may have. I love the little gift.shop they have.

Fee is $10 for adults; $7 for seniors & students; kids are free. BUT this fee gives you entrance to BOTH the history museum AND the art museum next door. It's not stodgy old art, either. It's cool, contemporary art. AND exhibits in both museums change every 3 months (+ or -), so there's often something new to see, a reason to go back & back. Becoming a member is only about $50 a year. It's more (?) for a family membership. But still, what a deal.
