We ate outdoors and loved it. Dining with my wife outdoors on a sunny day with nothing else left on the schedule for the day makes any restaurant a little bit better, but we enjoyed the food, the waitress, the hostess and the rest of the staff that came to visit us (but really our golden retriever, Charlie, who was in the car 10 feet from our outdoor table). Don't misunderstand, though! The outdoor area was quite welcoming, not like simply sitting in a parking lot! But we managed to park so Charlie was close.

Our waitress was very friendly, and knowledgeable. The food was excellent. The only dish I didn't love was the fries with crab and brie. The crab was just over powered and didn't add to the dish. However the steak was prepared perfectly and desserts were amazing. We will definitely be back.

Went here for my birthday. The food was out of this world. My husband's pork chop was the best he has ever eaten. The service was impeccable. The drinks were so creative and perfect for January. This was my second time dining here. Each time was different and exciting. The farm to table experience is one of the better ones I have had. We love this restaurant so much we gave Gift Certificates as gifts. We will continue to give them as gifts and we will definitely be going back again and again.

We recently tried The Altar House for the first time and we were very impressed. The staff were all extremely friendly and the service was excellent. The food was also very good, and the portion sizes were larger than we would have expected. The execution and flavors of the dishes we had (steak and short ribs) was great! We were particularly impressed by the charcuterie board though. Many restaurants really phone in charcuterie boards, but not here! They really did a great job putting this together and there's a great variety on the board. We definitely can't wait to come back!

A kids menu is available upon request. Everything from chicken fingers and fries or house made chips to sliders and pasta. We have multiple high chairs and boosters. Kids love the banquette seating with the live wall and the patio as well. Oh, and they always LOVE the desserts! Definitely kid friendly especially during the early hours. Hope this helps.
I don't work for Alter but I do not think bars/restaurants with a liquor license can allow outside booze in. Would also defeat the purpose of having a license. Pretty sure only byob's do that. I do know that Alter House has an excellent and complex dry cider on that goes really well with brunch. It's not like those sugary ciders. It's very crisp and refreshing. Alter also makes its signature fall sangria with this cider. I think it's called Barnyard Cider
Not as of yet. Only for private luncheons and events. Thank you so much for asking!
