Family's first visit to Sesame Place and there are a couple things you should know. First, the parking fees were much higher than expected. $35 for general, up to $45 for "VIP". Second, the entry also seemed high at $70 (discounted, depending on date), although the kids enjoying themselves was worth it. And lastly, have patience, the guest services such as pizza and beer were made to order and the beer on tap had testers for the beer connoisseur. Overall, the parade, water slides, rides and shows made for a fun day. I'm going in the water next time.

Lots of fun for our family. We wish there was more to do with our 1 yr old. 1/2 way through the day they ran out of French fries. They had no juice or milk in the park and recommended giving our child a super sugary punch instead. Save yourself the hassle and bring food for the little ones.

Perfect for the entire family! All ages. This is an excellent option if you want to enjoy a water park and a theme park at the same time ! They have good options as far water rides and dry rides ! It’s worth buying the season pass not only to come back on a different day but to get the discounts on food drinks and shops. They have a beautiful parade for the kids and a show for the little ones the kids will enjoy takin pictures with the Sesame Street characters trough the day. Food quality is good and they have more than a few options. If you don’t have kids it’s a great option as well ! Since you can have a lot of fun on the water rides and have a few drinks trough the sunny days ! Keep doing a great job in this great place !

We got to the park before 11 am. No line to park. The pictures contained are 9f our trip on Sunday April 10th. Lined if any were no more than 20-30 minutes. The previous reviews from months back is not what it is today. Every associate worker was pleasant and organised. The water rides had no lines. I did not notice any chaos. The food is another thing. The lines are long and it is in our personal view too expensive. The Elmo and friends show was awesome! We did not get on the water rides because it was too chilly. Next time because God willing we will be back for sure! It was a nice experience. You can only bring water inside. No sodas or food from outside the park etc.

Sale in 48 and 78 with park included.
Around $47 for adult $42 for kids but they do have special tickets that kids are free. Check out th Aquatica San Diego web site for exact prices. I was there this weekend it was Awsome.
I believe yes because they have events all year round such as for Christmas
Yes. No denim on the rides and they also say you can’t wear basketball shorts (not sure why) but I always wear bike shorts and they say cotton is ok
What a lot of people do is pack a cooler and leave it in their car. You can get your hand stamped on your way out so that after you eat lunch you can get back in the park.
Yes, but with only small bags of chips and no homemade sandwiches, lol.
As long as it looks like swim shirt they didn't say anything to us.
Yes, rides are free but I recommend getting the front of the line pass (Magic pass)
No its cash. But you can pay for it in advance online with a card.
Yea but they are only open seasonally and 2021 was their last season because they are turning it into Sesame Street place.
The rides are cool but lines can get long. The quick queue pass is definitely worth the money.
Only thing i found rude was closing... They really are pushy and rude they wouldnt let us get our flip flops and belongings from our cabana they sent staff to gather belongings while they made us wait like trespassers. I was really suprised how in a rush to close they were..knowing everyone's wet emptying lockers kids walk slow shivering... but i did see a girl buy a $7 dollar ice cream and water while we waited.. KEEP SELLING 👍 pffft but yea guess ill leave earlier next time ..great place tho.. Bring ur own snacks too cheaper that way.. 👍
The website says yes ! https://aquatica.com/san-diego/park-info/water-park-hours/

It depends on you’re age
U can only bring food if u have a special diet (food allergies, etc? 8oz water bottle (store close bottle only)n some small fruit containers, but u have access to get out of aquatica n eat at ur car then come back inside (they put u a hand stamp).
Yes it will. As long as there’s a QR code to scan it will work
Best Western is the closest and really nice, but if you want a better hotel and don't mind driving an extra 10 minutes to sesame there's Residence Inn by Marriott.
Hello. I believe it all depends on the season and the weather conditions. They have a complete calendar off operating days on the sesame place San Diego website. They will be open all summer everyday. I guess it is expensive to open during low season days due to electricity, staff maintenance and water just for a few patrons. On the good side this place is well maintained, clean and renovated. Ideal for families teens and adults! It’s wort visiting.
No reservation needed.
Yes.
The best "discount" for this place is the annual pass for both SeaWorld and Aquatica. The silver pass will get you in both and the price is only maybe 2 visits well worth it
Pools are from inches in some areas for the little, to the deepest is the 6 feet deep wave beach. The waves get going pretty good. So at the 6 foot mark with a wave is probably around 7 feet deep at its peek. I'm 5'11". I'm able to get all the way to the 6' area with my 4 year old. Even with the waves going its very safe. They have tons of life guards as well. And the kids under I think 52 inches must wear a life jacket.
It should be open...
If you have the silver pass you have one free ticket and if you have the gold pass you have two free tickets.
If you have small snacks for blood sugar purposes you're good. Otherwise, no.
Yes. There are picnic benches out in the parking lot that you could do cake or whatever food and drinks you have for the party. They will not let you bring any of that stuff in
I bought season pass seaworld tickets that came with aquatica passes, buying those tickets online were easy.
Yes depending how you buy them. Its Easier to have a pass.
Yes but only if you have annual pass. No if you buy same day ticket

10am to 7pm
Not sure what you mean by "kide" but i presume that you mean ride. So the entry fee for one adult is 30 dollars. That excludes the 15 dollar parking fee. All the rides and attractions are included with the 30 dollar park entry fee hope this helps answer your question :)
In Aquatica, what you wear is not really important for the staff, but you should have the basics for a girl to cover all the areas that should be covered if you know what I mean. And for children you have to wear something like shorts or swim pants. but you do not have to wear a shirt. In conclusion, simply use something that covers all your private parts.
I believe the quick pass is for one day, unlimited is unlimited
Free tickets as in you are a pass member for sea world and aquatica and u want to use it free tickets that u get? If so then yes!
You may want to get the park hopper pass! It saves money and its great to have options =)
Yes if you're going in a day that is going to be packed (example: holiday weekend). But even then lines go pretty quick in most of the attractions.
If you can buy your tickets the same day you attend aquatica

Not much
Downloaded to your phone and it will work fine. You'll save some $$$.
No
I do not know but Aquatica would not do that because of business
Yes
For majority of the rides I believe so. The lazy river, and "maybe" the wave pool they probably won't bother.
$44over the age of ten and $38 ages 3 to 9
Slides do and they have to be 48 inches of height and no basketball shorts or normal shorts
They can scan the barcode from your phone. If you're getting season tickets you can use self service kiosk or guest services window

The site says that there's 3 areas that have heated water but it still feels cold when you initially get in. The kids area is the warmest but probably cuz it's super shallow and the sun helps heat it up more lol
You must call them; their phone # is on their website.
It's easier to get your discounted price by Groupon
In April, but check their website for certain day of opening
You have to pay but tickets are available from the base ITT office.
You will see the new prices in April, on their website. You can buy annual and single day ticket. Child ticket until 9 years old
It is a water park owned by Sea World but is nowhere near it. As others said, is closed for the "winter" and will reopen next May (weekends only until June, I believe).
No, the season ends in October
Yes! Service dogs are permitted at Aquatica, however, they are not allowed on any attractions.
Yes, on weekends until October 8th
Weekends in September, only.
They have different hours now that schools are in session. Clised most weekdays except around labor day.
