I had fairly low expectations staying here based on the reviews however the price was affordable...... but as they say you get what you pay for. It was not by any means cleaned. Hair and some type of yellow sticky stains in the shower along with a hair tie on the shower knob from a previous person. Make up and other stains on the pillows. Dirt on the comforters. No wifi connection. The toilet ran every 5 minutes. The refrigerator door was left open before we checked in so the freezer was melted and water everywhere. The beds are comfortable if you enjoy sleeping on concrete. You can see through holes in the air conditioner in the wall to the outside. Another situation arose that is being handled privately but I suggest if bringing anything into the room with value like a laptop, leave these items locked away and out of sight. The only positive is the location. It is very close to beach and parking is included with a cash deposit that is returned to you. Being a single mom on a budget and needing to get away a weekend, I still would never stay here again.

Older and a little worn, decent motel for the price ($120/night in July), near the beach. Friendly staff. But, I was unable to connect my laptop to wifi in the room we were given, at the furthest end of the building from the office. My husband was able to connect, but the speed was akin to old dial-up modems. Could not stream.

As other have mentioned, you're getting what you paid for. It's a typical old beach motel, but the owners/management we're very friendly and accommodating which goes a long way in my book. They offered to keep our bikes in the office at night. Our room was clean, the air conditioner worked well, and the location was great. It's close to the action, but tucked away enough to where it wasn't noisy at night. Walls were a little thin in the bathroom, but the bedroom was nice and quiet. We slept well.

The Oceanic Inn in Asbury Park is the best value in the area! We came for my cousin’s wedding and were able to walk everywhere we needed to go. The location is excellent! Right next to Kim Marie’s (delicious drinks and awesome food) and the ocean (across the street). Rocky was so accommodating: our flight arrived late, and he told us to ring the bell for check in. He recommended we eat at Kim Marie’s (mentioned above). Our room had 2 beds and a fridge, with a large open closet in the entrance. The weather was gorgeous so we left the front door open to enjoy the breeze. We slept well and the room was clean. Nice, simple, clean motel! We’ll definitely be returning.
