Taka is probably my favorite sushi restaurant in New Jersey - and maybe of all time. The restaurant itself is beautiful, with a clean, modern aesthetic. The bar is the perfect size, and gets really busy. The food - TOP NOTCH. Some of my favorite sushi anywhere - but there's plenty more on the menu besides sushi. I haven't had much of the kitchen dishes simply because the sushi is so damn good. My personal favorites are the Firecracker Roll, Jun-San Roll and their Spicy Tuna Roll - all amazing. Combine the great food with the decent beer selection and lively bar scene - and Taka is a definite winner.

Fantastic food, modern oriental atmosphere and stellar service, Taka is a great spot for any occasion that calls for nice dinner. Both visits I had were excellent. Their sushi is the best in the area and the braised short rib was one of the best meals I’ve ever had. Can’t recommend this place enough if you love sushi and good food.

Great sushi. Had the chicken curry and vegetable udon as well. They were good but not what I would call great compared to the same dishes I've had in Japan, or even other restaurants here. Ambience a little too dark.

I just returned this past Saturday afternoon and now they have a lot of street seating by them and across the street. Some people were even able to walk-in. Its probably somewhere around 30 tables. Still no indoor, yet.

I believe they are open Christmas Eve, but hrs maybe shortened. Don't knw about Christmas Day. No delivery svc, & can do take out
