This place went above and beyond for me. Although I didn't realize it at the time as my mental health was extremely poor, they took good care of me even when my attitude was at it's worst. They supported and guided me to the right resources and were very kind.

The ladies are really great! There's a serious issue in our support to end domestic violence though! If it ever happens to you all I can say is you may want to reconsider your decision. They promise help. These ladies try and thats more than I can say about anyone else!

Very compassionate staff, they help women that are in a tough spot and going through rough times. They have an interview process you have to go through to get into their night shelter, you come in every day and they pick a couple of people each time, depending on bed availability, but just keep coming back. They provide resources such as food, showers, and they have a voucher system where you earn tickets to go into their closet boutique and pick out clothing items you need. Great safe environment for women struggling and homeless to feel better and get back on their feet.

Anytime they are open.
Do you accept non-perishable food. If not, could you steer me in the right direction? I have accumulated WAY too much for one person. Thanks!
I'm not sure. You might want to call them and find out first hand from them.
If disable and almost 55 yrs old
I'm not sure exactly, but if you call them, they can tell you the things that they accept and what they won't accept.

Rachels is a drop in day center for single woman. They dont allow children at this particular center. You will have a short intake at that time the staff will evaluate needs and give you resources.
Yes
I don't work there, but I'm sure they would accept or tell you who would
They will accept either because all they get are donations from others.
Yes
It's a shelter for single women. If you have a child, your best bet would be to go to the San Diego Rescue Mission (Nueva Vida Haven) on Elm Street at 5:30pm M-S. They accept women with children
If they are like new and clean, absolutely!
You will have to call them
Get a bed Monday - Friday after 1 p.m. but if you haven't done intake 9 a.m.
Thank you. Anything particular needed? I believe I've got children clothes, adult clothes and blankets. I've been asking my friends instead of giving me a gift to donate whatever they can and I will pick up and deliver whatever they have you to guys. I'm hoping to be there by 1pm. Thanks for responding. Teri H.
