Being a seasoned traveler & Lifetime Platinum Elite Bonvoy Member, you expect a level of service & hotel quality. Landing on an early flight & getting to the hotel before noon I knew it might be tricky to get checked into a room that early but checking to see that the hotel wasn't sold out the night before increased my odds. I was lucky enough to be offered a room at 11am but didn't want to stay come all this way to stay in a 2nd floor room after the hotel brags about the view of NYC so I asked for a higher floor room, which my profile requested & as elite member should have been offered first, so while allowed to check in early they offered a lower leveled room. I'll say the front desk could use some training. The highlight of this property is their concierge room staff! Those ladies (morning & night) were both so friendly and went out of their way to help with a drink or offer a napkin. This hotel is one of the nicer hotels close to Metlife Stadium & American Dream so like me many go visit there but their shuttle service isn't running so you'll need to ride-share or have your own transportation.

We stayed there with family during Memorial day weekend. Car parking is $11 daily. Breakfast is $20 per person. The lady in charge of the breakfast is incredible. Talks to guests genuinely. Location is really good being close to highways it is easy to get to places with your car. There is also a bus stop nearby that take you to central Manhattan Bus Station within 20 minutes. Commute is $9 per adult. Children travel for free. We had a small incident one night where our room key did not work. Staff realized the door lock battery died. It took them an hour to recharge and open the room. Wife was a little upset but staff remained calm and helpful. They gave us a $100 refund for the inconvenience. Overall nice and clean place. I have already recommended the place to friends who will stay there next weekend.

I know we seem to be rolling out of C-19 and every business is short of staff (May 2022). Like many others, this hotel is limiting room housekeeping (but you still pay the same rate each day as before). Staff were great and the room was fine but not exceptional. We were also looking for a place for an up coming trip and found a newer/nicer/less money Marriott about ten minutes north. The general area this Renaissance is in seems rough/rundown although the hotel and grounds are nice enough. Very close to the highway so some traffic noise.
