I really wish I had taken the time to read through all the Google reviews before I'd gone there. I really was not impressed by the quality of service I received or the high prices. Granted, I should have asked for a rundown of prices before I even scheduled appointments, so that's on me. I just assumed a small clinic in a rural town would not be so highly priced. I called to set up an appointment for both my cat and my dog, and they asked for a deposit of $100. I did have a little thing in my head that said hmm, but they said they'd be applying the deposit towards the visit then and I thought, ok that seems reasonable. (Thinking maybe it was half the cost or so of the appointment, so $50 an animal or something.) Then the day of the appointment, I was not impressed by the way either the lady at the desk or the vet treated me. They weren't downright rude, but definitely very pushy on the tests they wanted to run and the shots they wanted to give. They told me prices for various tests but I was under the impression the whole time that my $100 was going towards all this, so maybe just the tests would be extra charges. Prescribed heartworm meds for dog and I purchased 1 pill that day for $12 and also purchased 1 dose of Revolution (I forget the total for that, I don't have an itemized reciept to double check) for kitten to treat ear mites. I was "encouraged" to purchase multiples of these meds multiple times as there was not a grace period. If they missed a monthly dose, they would have to retest to presribe again. They reiterated this multiple times and also gave me a follow up call to remind me to purchase more meds. I understand the idea behind that, but it was the tone used and the expression when said that made me feel pushed instead of kindly reminded. The sort of tone one uses that makes you feel as if they think you're pretty dumb and need your hand held to do things. I asked a few questions about prices on spaying both animals and a few health things related to the dog that I wondered about, (already have done Google research, but I generally like to talk those kinds of things over with "experts", since I'm not one.) These questions were never acknowledged or answered. They charged me another $335.34 that day for blood and fecal tests for both animals and rabies and regular shots. I definitely physically raised my eyebrows when they told me the price haha. 😳 < that was me, lol. Scheduled follow up appointments for booster shots and was reassured that they would be far cheaper. Took the dog for her booster the other day and it was $109 and they again "reminded" me to purchase more meds and told me they'd charge for a prescription when I said I was going to order them off Chewy since it was cheaper. Talked down to me the same way they had before. I never felt like they cared about my pets or about my questions in the slightest. I cancelled the cats follow up appointment. They also charged my 19 year old sister around $400 for a coonhound she briefly fostered. She took him there to get his stitches out and they convinced her he needed more shots and tests even though he just came from a rescue where he was fully vaccinated and checked out. She got hung up on after she cancelled his follow up appointment. I didn't know that whole story till after I had taken my pets or I probably never would have. Needless to say, I'll be taking my pets elsewhere cause I can't afford these prices!

Thank you to Dr. Melinda Everhart & staff for taking such good care of my Fiona! She was spayed and had a small hernia repair and is doing wonderful! Very caring, professional staff and Fiona didn't even mind going along with Regina today (she hates leaving my side). I drove two hours from WV for this experience and it was well worth it! Wouldn't trust my girl with anyone else!

Absolutely love the staff at this amazing veterinarian clinic. They have taking such amazing care of our fur baby through his surgery on his leg. Everyone is so polite understanding and explains everything where you can understand everything. Staff is very nice and very caring. Absolutely will continue to take all my animals here. Dr gave us prices before doing any work on our wonderful dog Butters. We spent thousands of dollars at another vet, he never mentioned her thyroid just kept doing test after test for hundreds of dollars per test. Thank god our daughter told us of this vet.
