This place is always very friendly and a great staff and Ron is always willing to help out when it comes to loading. I have A torn ligament in my arm and my knee and he helped get this thing on the trailer by himself almost. You'd be amazed at what you can find at what they call by 2nd hand store. Sometimes like this leather Electric Recliner couch that is a lazy boy for $2500, I just wanna say I didn't even pay a 3rd of that and got a great deal on it and I know where the money is going. Unlike goodwill they are not political at all. God bless them and stop by and buy or Donate to a good cause

Took some blankets and towel and some house hold items. I like giving them the items so it help the animals.

This is the email I just sent to the supervisor of the thrift store: Hello, I was just in the store with my parents. Upon walking in, we were immediately confronted by an older gentlemen and told to put on masks. Neither my parents nor myself have any issue with this requests, and promptly put on masks. I did not have a mask on me, so I took one from the box provided at the front. As I was already putting it on, he proceeded to tell me to put hand sanitizer on before getting a mask from the box. He then said “or after” in a disgruntled manner. I put on hand sanitizer, and he proceeded to look at me and shake his head. When I looked back again, he again looked at me and shook his head. He was remarkably unfriendly, and we felt so unwelcome at that point that we felt we should leave. Upon leaving, I informed the incoming patrons that they would be met by an angry older man regarding their lack of masks. One of those patrons informed me she had visited the store on a prior occasion and had an unpleasant experience with the same man. I understand that the humane society thrift store is most likely operating on a volunteer basis, but when those working are unfriendly to its patrons it discourages them from donating or contributing to the cause. I was looking forward to providing a donation and purchasing from the store. I will not be visiting again, nor will my family, and I will be sharing my negative experience with others. I hope that this is taken into consideration and some changes are made regarding the demeanor of volunteers and employees. This particular gentleman seemed burdened by the work he was doing. I would like to reiterate that the problem at hand is not with putting on masks, but rather the manner in which the gentleman treated me once I did put on the mask. I am typically not compelled to write such emails, but because this is a cause that I have always been supportive of, I felt doing so was necessary. Thank you

Are there specify days and times for donations. Also is there any items you do NOT accept.

Cathy Gibson | May 29, 2019

They take donations anytime there open. Go thru the front to donate. They have bins available to put stuff in. They take most things, however they did get rid of their books so I would guess they don't want them.
