We camp the area a lot and Sierra Gateway always has everything we need. Food, camping & fishing supplies, fishing licenses, souvenirs and lots more. The staff in the bait shop know the river well and can provide fishing tips.

Decent market located right in the middle of Kernville. It's right across the street from Kern River Brewing company. Their hours are a little wonky, but it's a nice market with pretty much anything you might need. Check out their walk-in beer cooler. Their sporting goods department is exceptional.

This is a very busy store & gas station on the weekends. They have it all !! ICE, beer, alcohol, my favorite LOL ,fresh meat department, groceries, you name it !! they have everything you need in one STOP!! I'm not from this area, however everytime I visit Kernville, I come to this store. The staff is super nice and the ladies are AMAZING!! everyone is so helpful and a big shout out to the ladies making the delicious breakfast!! this is my go to place early morning to get a good breakfast!! thanks ladies for the great food and friendly service. they make you feel like family and every single person working there is friendly. IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A GOOD PLACE TO SHOP AND FIND EVERYTHING THIS IS THE PLACE TO SHOP.

You can get just about ANYTHING here. And the meat counter has incredible steaks and prepared food. If you're camping in the area, it's a great place to stock up.
