I am a nurse with long term care background (for decades). Last week I had to do a client assessment at the Enhanced Assisted Living at Touchmark. Now everyone knows Touchmark is POSH, very posh: well designed buildings, state of the art amenities, white glove events, numerous wellness programs.... and the list goes on and on. But what impressed me most is how solid their care team is. Kudos to their RN, Linda, their Enhanced Care Administrator, Cece and to Cassandra Bates, their Resident Care Coordinator. Cohesive, efficient and on top of residents' care.

My mother has tried contacting her brother in law on numerous occasions to make sure he's okay and it's very difficult. The phone rings forever, once one of the residents picked up then hung up on her. When she called back the same person picked up and said she was answering the phone as no one else was answering. Mom finally ended up calling our local Touchmark to call Portland. Months later mom calls again, the phone rings a long time, so she calls directory assistance to make sure the number is correct. She calls back, someone answers and says they will transfer the call to another floor. The phone plays a Touchmark spiel, then disconnects.

I joined the Touchmark team in April 2018. I chose Touchmark because of the culture and values. We have a supportive central office that is close by, a dedicated and compassionate team of nurses and caregivers, great residents, and we have a lot of fun!

Touchmark offers outstanding retirement living at the west hills Portland property, given my time there when visiting my 93 year old father who is at independent living. Staff are engaged and supportive. They know and care about every resident. The facility is amazing given a health club, multiple dining options, and views. It has a homey resort feel with great vitality. I’m thankful to have found Touchmark for dad. It’s assuring to know he has a high quality of life, and strong options for graduated care.
