Fantastic experience with The Music Emporium. They shipped the guitar to me super quickly - got it the next day! Andy was super responsive to e-mails. Unfortunately the guitar didn’t work out for me (great instrument, just not for me). The return process was seamless. I will definitely be buying from this store again in the future.

Great selection of high end instruments. I bought a 2022 “new” guitar here a month or so ago. While the year is current and the warranty card still in the case, there was pretty significant fret wear for a “new” guitar and the guitar was strung in a pretty jank way. My inquiry about it was ignored. I’m left to assume the guitar was either sold & returned, possessed by an employee for a period and at least should have been listed as shop worn. Nonetheless, a great piece.

A truly outstanding guitar buying experience! The selection at the ME is unmatched, particularly in their showcasing of up-and-coming builders. I purchased a Thomas Rodriguez Half Nelson that is literally offered nowhere else. The knowledge of the staff and their willingness to take the time to listen to my needs was appreciated. The Music Emporium no longer does repairs on instruments they didn't sell. They recommend Stubblebine Luthrie in Somerville IIRC. There's also Wood and Strings on Mass Ave in Arlington. I use Mockingbird Music in Berlin, MA.
I teach there and I don't know. They carry many music accessories, though. A quick call to them should get you the answer.
They do sell ukuleles. As far as i know the price ranges quite a bit
Hello Ryan, many thanks for the response. There are literally no music stores in Liberia where I am spending the year. It's a 1984 Yamaha. Does that help narrow the possibilities? I can send a photo of the internal label if that would help. Right now I have a piece of folded hard plastic but it's not great.
