I was scared to take this step and admit I needed help but I'm so glad I did and I'm so lucky to have started my journey here. Free by the Sea is a compassionate and supportive environment to get sober. The staff truly cares for their clients and they make every effort to help you succeed. I was able to get my feet back under me and now I actually feel prepared and excited about my future! Never would have said that only 2 months ago. (and the view does not hurt one bit!)

I absolutely loved my experience at FBTS and it is not an exaggeration for me to say that the program literally gave me back my life, hope, family and future. I was able to be fully immersed in recovery for nearly 6 months and not many places do that anymore! The staff is the best in the business and honestly cares about the

The experiences and conversations I shared here with others have changed my outlook on life. Free by the Sea will forever be a positive memory in my path to recovery. I am sincerely grateful for all of the beautiful people I've met here.

Definitely became a new person at this place. Everywhere has its ups and downs, but this place has mostly ups. The peer connection, in depth classes, and mental health treatment is amazing. The counselors here are absolutely remarkable, they truly changed my life. I’m going to be forever grateful for this facility and the amazing things they did for me. I recommend this place to anyone looking for recovery. I’ve been given a second chance thanks to Free by the Sea. A huge shoutout to Ronnie, Jen, Lisa, and Kurt for being amazing counselors and Nina, Patty, and Jeff for being such great techs who always are there to listen.

We are not a detox center, however we would be happy to connect you with a facility please feel free to contact us directly at 360-665-4494 and ask for the admissions team.
I'm not really sure but I believe some people were on Suboxone
Unfortunately we do not during treatment. However you are welcome to have them visit for the day. We have beachfront access for them to run and play.
Yes
PDX. SAC is 3 hours to the south and SEA is 1 hour to the north, flying time.
Iam not sure we had blue cross.Iam sure if you call they will gladly inform you.
Hi there- Free by the Sea does not allow personal phones while in the residential program, with some exceptions on a check-out basis in the presence of a staff member. Clients do have access to make 3 phone calls per day to their loved ones on a company phone. When in outpatient levels (Partial Hospitalization or Intensive Outpatient), cell phones are permitted after the first 5 days. Feel free to reach us at 360-665-4494 if you have additional questions!
I don't believe that they accept state insurance, but they scholarship people who really want to change their lives
5 days unless you come directly from detox.
Yes you can but they don't really like having the kids in the family group. The group is not required. When my mom came with my 1 year old we scheduled a visit with my counselor because it is very important for family to be involved with our recovery and it's a safe place to talk about things that you may need or want to get out in the open. Good luck with your journey. I will keep your family in my prayers as well as everyone else there. Free saved my life!
If you call and talk to the front desk typically the patients counselor can help schedule a good time. Normally its on the weekend but they do make exceptions. There is also a guest room families can stay in free of cost.
