I learned years ago to avoid ordering anything with "fresh" hot fudge at this location... I nearly always order something pre-packaged like a Dilly Bar or a Buster Bar... There was just something "off" about the flavor of their hot fudge. Well, the other night, I really wanted a hot fudge sundae with warm hot fudge, not cold, so I broke my own rule to only order pre-packaged items here. When I first walked in, I smelled sour milk. Red flag (sort of)... Anytime you work in a place with lots of dairy products, and if there is a recent spill, you're going to get that sour milk smell unless you clean and sanitize WELL. Sadly, my ice cream tasted sour and I ended up throwing it away. Too bad for this location... The people who work there (I'm assuming they own this franchise) are hard-working and respectful. I will probably go back, but only to order pre-packaged treats.

Despite it being hot outside and this busier, the workers were friendly, the wait was not long and the ice cream was well made, plenty of yummy toppings! This will be where we go for DQ cravings in the future!

It’s my daughters birthday today and yesterday she had seen the heart shaped valentines cake online and requested it for her birthday cake. We called yesterday asking if they had them out in stock and if we could reserve one or just pick one up today. They answered the phone by simply saying “Hello?” We asked if this was Dairy Queen and he rudely replied it was. We said sorry, we didn’t know since you answered the phone “hello?” As if it was a personal line. We then asked about the cake. We were told yes, they have them out in the freezers, no need to reserve and we can pick it up any time. We came in at 1230pm today and there were no heart cakes in the freezers and when we asked about them we were told they didn’t have them at that location yet. Just very disappointing to now be rushing around for a cake when we already confirmed the one she had truly wanted yesterday. Edit to add: we even asked the man if he remembered someone calling about a heart cake yesterday and he said yes. So you remember and you lied or you remember and were mistaken and didn’t think to call back and let us know? Very disappointed with the customer service but unsurprised considering how all DQs in KC are run.

Very disappointed with our visit today. Lights on the front were off but people were inside so we popped in. Store was dim with half the overheads turned off, floor looked dirty, staff were in the back not paying attention to the front end, and the ice cream machine was broken so we couldn’t get the cones we’d come in for. This is located in a high traffic part of town on a nice Saturday, it should be busy and ready for service. But it seems like the new Andy’s down the street will soon be putting this location out of business.
