Order the grilled cheese. That's where it's at. I don't love grilled cheese but this was on another level. And the ice cream sundaes are amazing too. Well worth the stop if you can make. We happened to be there when it wasn't too busy, thankfully. Parking lot is shared with the park so it can be full. Some seating under tents.

I had the kalua pig plate. Kalua pig was good maybe can use more salt, rice was fancy and delicious, and Mac salad and pickled veggies were good as well. Walked away not feeling too stuffed or hungry. No line when I went on a Wednesday during lunch and order came out quick. As far as vibes, if you ever find yourself missing the countryside in Hawai'i, this place will make you feel right at home. Only thing missing would be some feral chickens and coconut trees. 🤙

The staff is always friendly, the specials are always delicious! It can be busy on the weekends so try to stop in during the week. Lots of covered outdoor seating and a small selection of tables on the closed-in deck. Plenty of parking. Restrooms are located in the park, none at the restaurant.

Such a cool drive-in with that outdoor and old style drive-in vibe. And the food! The grilled cheese changed my life with their delicious cheese blend and their waffle ironed toast. What lactose intolerance?! Had their butternut squash soup and it was delicious and perfect for the cold rainy day. They're also dog friendly (with treats at the ready too) so that earns them gold stars from me.

Good answer Anna! I'd like to add a couple things: The best way to order is through the online store. It has the full menu, and if you begin the checking out process, the online store will give you an estimated pickup time based on the current orders. It can help you plan your visit and if you place your order ahead of time it will be ready when your group arrives. If an order only has ice cream, it is made as soon as possible and should be ready within a few minutes, despite the time estimate being later. You can also get ice cream made to order at the drive thru window. For groups, using the online store can really help: you can order when you are ready (no waiting in line to order,) take care of the transaction on your own phone (with credit card or apple pay etc) and they call your name when it is ready to pick up on the side patio.
