I liked Semolina, but didn't love it. Pros: The service was great and friendly. The food was served quickly (we had a 5 p.m. reservation and made it out at 5:45 p.m).Their namesake bread was delicious. Everything was made with premium ingredients and was obviously made fresh and to order. The ambiance was great as well. Cons: Everything was a bit pricey. For being solely Italian with a small menu, the perfection I look for (and would pay for) wasn't there. The gnocchi was overdone. The Carbonara was super heavy with an added cream sauce. The Panna Cotta was loose, and the goat's milk choice made it taste much more like a yogurt. Overall, if youre going, I recommend checking out the menu online first since the selection isn't huge. Also, make sure you BYOB. We might go back when or if the menu changes up a bit to have another meal.

One of the best restaurants in Monmouth County. What we love about Semolina: 1. The staff is ALWAYS friendly and you can tell they all have a passion for working there. 2. Cozy environment and great vibe as tables are typically all full with other happy customers. 3. The chef rotates the menu every so often to give his loyal customers new tasty options to try. 4. The food is ALWAYS amazing. Great restaurants figure out a way to be consistent with their dishes. 5. Homemade pasta! Nothing better. Usually 6 different options to choose from. 6. The Pork Chop!! If you haven’t tried it, you must make yourself a reservation right now! Like no other you’ve ever had before. We get it almost every time. Sometimes, we don’t want it as an entree, and Semolina is kind enough to bring it as an appetizer sliced up for sharing. 7. The desserts….Trust me, their rotating selections are a must try. 8. Lastly, if you crave their homemade pasta, they sell it at many other amazing food markets in the area…

Finally had the chance to make it over from semolina after constantly hearing rave reviews! It absolutely lived up to all expectations and then some ! Menu is creative and every thing we ate had some love in it! Highly recommend , apps, pasta and main dishes all a 10! Service was perfect, and most importantly all employees looked like they loved being a part of the team! Love that. Can’t wait to get back!
