Questions & Answers

We live at 5765 Windfield Lp., Lake Oswego. For the last 2 days I have noticed a terrible smell when I use the hot water in doors, especially in the bathroom. Is there something going on with our service?

Hi J -- So sorry to hear that! If the smell is associated with the water coming out of your tap, your drinking water provider would be the one to reach out to.

Are you doing anything to control the Nutria Fernhill Wetlands?I see more and more of these invasive rodents out there.

Yes, we hire a contractor to come out and remove as many as they can. Unfortunately, full eradication is unlikely because of how quickly nutria reproduce.

Does anyone in BV, have experience in dealing with private water lines below sewer lines run by the City?

Hi Kimberley - We need more information about what you want to do in order to accurately answer your question. The fastest response would come by contacting our Permit Desk at 503-681-5100.

I would like some information on your fertilizer. Is it good for yards and shrubs? When should it be applied and how? Does it act like a weed and feed for the lawn?

Thanks for your questions! For your shrubs, we recommend Clean Water Grow All-Purpose Plant Food. Apply GROW by mixing into the soil before planting, when possible. For pre-established plants, you can poke a few holes around the base of the plant and add GROW so that it reaches the roots. For yards we have a specific lawn blend. The back of Clean Water Grow Lawn Food bag has instructions on how to apply based on the style and model of your fertilizer spreader. The Lawn Food is not weed and feed, as we try to avoid harsh chemicals in our blends. For more information on ingredients, how to use and where to buy, check out cleanwatergrow.com.
