I had my consultation with The Portland Center for Facial Plastic Surgery over Zoom for a rhinoplasty and a chin implant. I am so lucky to have found Dr Portuese. I found out that his surgical center is in Seattle and I really didnt have a problem with that. Dr Portuese truly is gifted when it comes to rhinoplasty and facial plastic surgery. He has seen it all and his before and afters are impressive. I cant wait to see my new nose. The surgeon and staff were kind, helpful and patient as I had alot of questions and with the free consultation I learned alot. So happy to have found this medical clinic and am excited for my future.

I had my lower eyelids done by Dr. Portuese, this was a procedure I had been wanting for years. My lower eyelids were puffy and looked tired. After discussing the procedure and my concerns with Dr. Portuese, I made the decision to have surgery. It was done under general anesthesia, and I was very nervous the morning of my operation. Meeting with the anesthesiologist beforehand put me at ease. The surgery was over quickly and I was waking up in recovery with the nurses comforting me. As soon as I was awake and stable, I headed home to rest. I didn’t have much pain besides a little headache. My eyes healed quickly without any complications and faster than I expected! I was sure to follow the post-op instructions from the nurses and that definitely helped with the healing. One week later I was back to work with only slight bruising, that could be covered with make-up. Now I have fully healed and couldn’t be more pleased with the results. Thank you Dr. Portuese and wonderful staff for helping me through this experience!

Initially, plan on 2 weeks of bruising and swelling present around the upper and lower lids. The incision on the upper eyelid stays pink for approximately 2-3 months until it turns into a fine white line. The incision on the lower lids tends to heal faster and is usually minimally detectable at 1-2 months. Full healing takes approximately 3-4 months, and at that time the postoperative photographs can be taken.
A brow lift procedure accomplishes raising low set eyebrows. A browlift is performed to rejuvenate the forehead. It can also accomplish adjusting asymmetrical eyebrow height. The horizontal and vertical creases in the forehead can also be softened as well.
Most patients who undergo a facelift procedure are usually in the 50s and 60s who are in excellent health. Less than 50 years of age the skin tone is usually acceptable unless there has been a massive weight loss situation. It is certainly possible to perform a facelift when patients are in their 70s and 80s, but the skin tone is lax and the results will not last as long.

A lower face and neck lift can take 2-1/2-3 hours to perform under general anesthesia. The anesthesia is administered by board certified physician anesthesiologists in our Medicare certified outpatient surgery center. Recovery time from the anesthesia is approximately 2 hours.
