Few places in the country can rival the food at the Federal, amazing quality service, delicious food, at very steep prices, but well worth it. No mail here should start off without their famous cup of balls and the fabulous pizza. My braised rib was outstanding in may just be the highlight of the entire menu, but that's somewhat subjective given that there are no bad items served. I've never been disappointed on my many visits over the past 15 years.

Hands down one of the best meals I have ever had. We came with a large group and the staff was absolutely top notch in terms of service and knowledge, and was very accomodating. We had a few different apps (risotto balls, zucchini sticks) and they were excellent. Complementary rolls were hot to the table, provided with oil and salt/pepper. I had the braised pork with fennel and orange salsa (pictured). Absolutely incredible. The place was PACKED on a Wednesday night of no consequence, so I would assume Friday/Sat nights are reservation territory. Wine list is extensive, high end, and the beer list was very adequate. I can't wait to go back and try something else. Be prepared to spend, as most entrees are in the 40/pp range but I cannot stress how incredible the food was. 6 stars if I could.

My wife and I had a very nice and romantic dinner at The Federal. We happen to go on a very busy night to celebrate an anniversary. The service and food was still really good. We plan to go again in the future.

Food was really good, the staff was really great. It is expensive but you can see why. Great atmosphere, little loud but only because people are enjoying themselves so much. Would recommend for a special occasion. Not much under $50 per person but the pub burger was affordable and both it amd the fries where really great.
