Delicious food and excellent location. The one star less is because though they have a legally required access to the beach, they locked it and the “key was lost”! So while we waited for our reservations, (the prior folks paid and sat for 20 mins, we were unable to stand and enjoy the beach.

Nice, Beach side location with good views, great food, excellent service. A bit pricey but, that's to be expected here. I recommend getting a reservation. If you eat early enough, you can take advantage of their $7 valet parking instead of paying $10 per hour across the street at the public parking lot. Loved the Hula Cake for dessert and that we got it for free for our anniversary.

Great service from the moment we got there! They opened the car doors, greeted us inside and the servers were friendly and attentive! The appetizers were well presented and tasty. The spicy cucumber margarita is delicious. The chowder was the only disappointment(still tasty) because I am from New Hampshire and it is hard to find great chowder outside of New England. The burger was cooked medium and was perfect! The hula pie dessert is made to be eaten by a party of 2-4 people and was yummy!

Fabulous staff, delicious food, generous portions...and the view!!! Spectacular! Prices are not terrible. $18 for huge burger and the most awesome fries ever. We went for lunch. Dinner prices are much heftier.

People are spread out, very sorry with the beach. Staff was safe and wore. Masks everything was sanitized and cleaned between groups
Yes
I wasn't offered happy hour menu. So I guess not.
Yes! Crowded!
Not exactly sure of the question but we did not receive, use, buy or ask about gift certificates. Sorry.
I believe so, yes. I recall seeing a few wheelchairs down by the window tables.
You could call the restaurant and ask them.
Call them and ask to speak with a manager. Explain the situation and see if they can resend the electronic gift card to the correct email address or see if they can cancel the transaction and send a new one to the correct email. They should be able to help you out. This probably isn't the first time this has happened. If all else fails, you can always dispute the transaction on your credit card statement. It most likely won't get to that point, Jake's should be able to take care of this issue, but that is an option.
I have in the past, but this last time they said they couldn't guarantee it.
I suggest you call first.
Yes. The cuisine & view & venue & service is the focus. No bargain prices but the experience has been a highlight of my visits the past 30 years. God's creation is seen from the expansive windows or outside. Lovely.
It's an upscale casual place, but also right on the beach. A button up and slacks or a sundress would be perfect
They have a couple of dinning areas. Easy wheelchair entrance through the front doors. The tables located directly on the beach if I remember correctly has steps.
yes they do
Yes they do, 10am -2pm, variety of options from steak and eggs to french toast to omelettes.
Short hours. 12-6
You'll have to be more specific. What's the name of it? There are many restaurant cards that are usable somewhere in San Diego, City and County. Which one do you mean?
You can buy a gift card for a specific amount as well!
Arrive at 11:30 and almost garanteed a window table.
