I have lived in Bavaria. My sister lives in the Tirol. I cook schnitzel and haxe at home. This place is a gem and we are lucky to have it. They make everything in house and also adapt to seasonal local stuff. We had chilled asparagus soup tonight, for instance. They not only do standards well, but also innovate with things like eggplant schnitzel. Add in great German beer on tap plus real schnapps, and it's perfect. Great service too. Instant fan!

Had such a great dinner here. We had the string bean shallot salad appetizer, chicken schnitzel with grilled asparagus and potato dumplings, Jaeger schnitzel with braised red cabbage and spaetzle, and a pair of dunkel pints. Everything was amazing, the space was really nice, and the servers were super friendly. Will definitely be back next time we're in the area.

My wife and I were in Tivoli for the weekend and since we love German food decided to try this place. The first thing that greeted us was a sign that said "Reservations only". Luckily we were told we could sit at the bar. Service was good and the staff was friendly, but we were disappointed with the food. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't as authentic as we expected. I had the sauerbraten and having lived in Germany for a while many years ago I can honestly say that it was NOT anywhere near what you would find over there. Again, it wasn't like it was BAD, but sauerbraten is supposed to be sour. This was more like good American stew meat. The beer WAS very good though.

Had an amazing lunch today with friends for my birthday celebration. The service was amazing and our waiter was knowledgeable, friendly and always making sure we had what we needed. The food was very good, although I think my only negative would be for the chef to not be so liberal with the salt. The mulled wine is not to be missed. This was definitely worth the trip from Albany on a windy winter day. We will be back!

Every day except Tuesday.
I was at Jaeger Haus last weekend. It's very casual, informal. No dress code.
