A great place for the 50 plus crowd with coffee, workout facility, woodshop and a plethora of classes and activities.

I simply used the parking lot on this visit! I did not go inside the building. Center 50+ is a great resource for Salem and I am quite happy we have it.😊

The 50 plus club has been closed for quite awhile now and I dearly miss the place.😔 However, once it does reopen I seriously recommend you tour the place! There's much to do...a computer room..classes... workshop.. exercise equipment...billiards..a knick knack shop..a wonderful cafeteria with excellent food..and much, much more. This place gets five stars from me for sure... and would get many, many more if that was possible to do! Thank You All for doing such a great job and I know we all absolutely look forward to when you're open again my friends!

Not only does this center offer many classes on various hobbies & interests it also is a place of community for those who may otherwise be more of shut ins. Evenings & weekends it is open to the general community. They have Meals on Wheels on site. There is a gym, language classes, dance, crochet, painting, woodworking, lapidary (rock polishing etc) & much more. Bingo regularly & a tour group that goes anywhere from overseas to Portland, they have their own bus. Internet & computer access, cafe & boutique. Comfortable fireside seating & friendly, helpful staff. Every city should be fortunate enough to have a place like this.

Yes they do
They have travel seminars. You can obtain listings inside the lobby or call during business hours for details.

Yes Tuesday and Thursday beginning class at 12 intermediate class at 1:15 Tuesday at 5or5:30 two Saturdays a month 9am
There is no fee for being a member of the center. There is a fee for using the exercise facilities. That fee is based on how frequently you use the facility. To use the wood shop you must have gone through the orientation for the wood shop and then you can schedule an appointment to use the wood shop with a supervisor present. Drop in to the Center 50+ to get complete information about programs, classes and fees. They will also give you a tour if you want.
There is a pool table. I haven't seen a ping pong table.
The Center 50+ is offering a few limited classes right now. There is scheduled to be more classes and activities available after September 7th when the Center has its reopening celebration.
Yes, they do.

Yes, there are signs in the lobby indicating the steps to undertake in order to speak to someone
the Center 50+ does offer some yoga classes. I'm not sure if they are ongoing or only occasional. contact the Center for more info. they are great about getting back to you if you don't connect with someone right away.
Yes. Call them for the schedule.
Hello Luchie, I haven't heard of one but that doesn't mean there isn't one. Call them. They are very helpful. 503-588-6303
Center 50+ is a great community center with lots of free programs. They also have special events and classes available, many of which are free. No membership fees, it's free to join.
Yes

Call 211 for a referral for free tax preparation.
The center50 plus does help . there is a tax people that come in you'd have to call and find out about sitting an appointment
They actually have a special Tai Chi class that was developed. specifically to build up ones balance. They also have exercise machines.
No. They're closed on Thanksgiving and Friday.
Many services and connections appear to be free. Classes and gym facilities require small monthly dues, but popular Medicare supplement insurance programs like Health Net will pay for it.
