My daughter was admitted she tried to commit suicide and was in very bad shape mentally. They told us they would find a place for her to live we did not want her to return home we are 85 and 82 we could not deal with her any more. She called us any told us she was released and was coming home and there was nothing we could do about it. I called the next morning nobody answered the phone I tried for 1 hour a machine came on and asked what unit I wanted I 👄 to a person they put me on hold for 45 minutes l gave up called back in 1 hr.gotanother Person which directed me to some one else had to leave a message no one called back I called back later got some one in her unit a nurse she told me she was not going to be released. Well guess what they released her and I have not been able to reach anyone there since very poor management in my opinion. I called several times left messages no return calls

HORRIBLE experience. This place made me feel so much worse. Thank god for the couple of nurses that were actually kind. 99% of the staff were god awful. Even the “therapists” who came in for group therapy just had printed off sheets and didn’t have answers to questions we asked about the material THEY BROUGHT! My parents tried to call and the staff always tells them you aren’t available while not even letting you know your family called. This place deserves to be sued and shutdown!!

This hospital is horrible. when i got there they sat me in the lobby with no directions and they let me sit there for 3 hours crying. not once did any staff help or tell me where to go. RNs were rude and ignored the patients. my moms calls were ignored and my friend was told that i would be informed to call her back but not once was i told. the bathrooms were dirty, most of the showers were ice cold, two patients who attacked other patients and a staff member were isolated for a short time then allowed to roam around the lobby area where they could attack others again. i was only allowed one visit even though our rights state we can get a visit once a day. we were only allowed outside for at most a half hour (the schedules said 1 hour) a day. we were left to just sit and watch movies in a dark room the whole day other than group therapy and an activity in total taking 3 hours a day. and when i was discharged the staff lost my phone. i still have not gotten it back. the floor staff were polite but the RNs behavior felt isolating and cold. and not once did i speak to a therapist. i saw a doctor for 5 minutes everyday and they did not give me a solid discharge date until the day i was discharged. this was a traumatic experience and it left me more mentally disturbed than i was when i was admitted. do not send your loved ones here. It has been over 2 weeks and they still have not given my phone back. I called and they told me I have to drive 2 hours to the facility to even ask if they found it. Then she hung up on me. A friend had texted the phone and the message turned green which means it was turned on and the number was deactivated. If it was off how I had given it to the staff, the message would not send and it would be blue. This facility stole my phone.

While it is a much better detention center than others in the Inland Empire (assuming you end up in the high-functioning ward), it is not a real hospital and should not be held to the standards of one, as the only staff with any actual medical training are the psychiatrists - who, I must stress, are not therapists; they are there to administer drugs and take note of side effects like scientists. Nevertheless, the staff is polite and respectful for the most part, the food is good, the living quarters are relatively clean, and the social climate is very warm and loving among fellow inpatients. I also appreciate that routines were adhered to, giving patients a sense of structure to help guide their recovery. There are no individual therapists, only group activity leaders with questionable credentials - this is especially true of the outpatient program, which is toxically positive at best and attendance is mandatory for continued access to treatment. I did not appreciate having to waste nine hours a week (three hours/day for three days out of the week) while my medication was held hostage. I feel that a handful of individual therapists speaking one-on-one with patients for 30 minutes a day would have been more effective. I feel like my insurance was handled questionably, as my stay was extended once it was realized that my secondary paid out more than my primary (I was coerced into signing a "voluntary" extension under the threat of having it become involuntary if I refused), but I found out several months later that my secondary insurance didn't cover my stay and I had to pay the extra thousand out of pocket anyway, which is also roughly the amount I lost from missing work. I'm sure I would still be there had I not pointed out that if I lose my job, I lose my insurance as well... Overall, my experience was not traumatic, but I feel there are services that can be improved on. I still thank the staff for taking care of me and for letting me have the opportunity to meet people who are still my friends and supporters to this day.

Yes they treat alcohol abuse & you can get a free assessment
I don’t think you can. They make sure sign a paper. I believe it depends on your situation. They didn’t allow my daughter to check herself out.
Loma linda BMC has a detox unit. Canyon ridge does not.
So i can call to talk to a patient at any time? Sorry i wasnt really clarifying it
Take her to a therapist and they will do what they can to prevent it
yes
They got smoking breaks
Yes only if you have their information
If you feel she is a danger to herself or others the police can do a well walk and admit her to canyon ridge if you live in chino. It's not an arrest they just help you get her there.
