I've worked in this facility for 12 years. We have a great hard working, knowledgeable, and caring staff that does the best everyday for our residents. We are a work family and treat our patients like family. It's a great place to work and advance for your future.

I’ve worked for this company for 8 years, not only have I experienced hard working nursing staff, but exceptional, and fun managerial staff. They encourage a fun, light hearted atmosphere, offer benefits, and decent raises yearly. Please pay no mind to the bad reviews as they were left from disgruntled employees who left unprofessionally, and aggressively. I was not bribed, nor paid for this review. I just love where I work.

I would not recommend working here I have been working in the nursing field for almost 7 years. This places management is the worst I have seen so far in my career. One example is on multiple occasions we had to work extremely short on day shift and evening and even occasionally only having one cna on noc. Do you think management ever came out of the office to help or the DNS come in to help make it more bearable nope. Also who knows what reviews are true and authentic because the administrator was offering gift cards to people who posted reviews and then showed him. Then to move forward on why you shouldn't work here is relias learning is an amazing source of knowledge on what changes have been made in the health care field. On multiple occasions over 5 months I had been asking about how to get paid for relias and the administrator said to me he has to figure it out but he is only paying for an hour of relias a month. Which is extremely sad and shows it is all about the money because your hired on and have over 4 hours of relias you are supposed to get done. However you are not going to get paid for the relias because I did one hour of relias and never was paid for it. Everytime I went to ask they had to talk to the administrator which means who knows if any one has done any relias or not. The DNS is the worst I have never had someone be so heartless in the nursing field as I had seen with her. Most of the time when I came out of the office to talk about something I'd come out feeling awful. I decided to quit when I talked to her last and she in a nut shell said that I wouldn't make it as a nurse and that nurses eat their young alive pretty much telling me I should quit with my career and schooling. This place is so soul sucking that even alot of the residents hate it here.

I have worked in healthcare for ten years, and must say Portland Health & Rehab is a fantastic facility. The staff are some of the most caring, compassionate, and dedicated individuals that I have had the privilege to work with. From management to the housekeeping staff, everyone is committed to making Portland Health & Rehab as wonderful an experience as being in a nursing facility can be.

We provide all of the furniture your elderly parent needs in their room. However, to make it feel like home, most skilled nursing centers encourage residents to bring personal items such as family photos, a familiar bedspread, and treasured knickknacks.
Physicians generally see residents upon admission and once every 30 days thereafter. Though the physicians aren’t there every day, our nursing staff is in constant communication with each physician that visits the facility.
Residents may take a leave of absence with a physician’s authorization, which can be arranged through the nursing staff. Residents who take a leave of absence must check in and out with the leave of absence (LOA) book at the nursing station.
Please make sure to check with the nursing staff before bringing food in to ensure the food complies with special diets. Any food kept in resident rooms must be in a properly sealed container.
