Its such a beautiful park. Especially because its small but yet so big. No one bothers you and its just peaceful. I'm introverted so this is great for those who want to just have headphones in their ears and enjoy the scene.

Went to watch sunset on Tuesday. Maybe about 10-14 other people there. Well maintained, water was as still as glass, clean park and walkways. It was beautiful weather and perfect view.

Beautiful water front park. Rolling green landscape with shade trees and terrific views of lake Ontario. Gorgeous house to rent for your parties. Also numerous pavilions. Lots of picnic tables and grills spread throughout. New play area for the kids along with some smaller areas in a couple spots throughout park. Public restrooms are available. There is no swimming or fishing allowed.

No swimming here, and I don't know of any closer than Rochester. Lake Ontario shoreline is privately owned, just like the Finger Lakes.
No paddleboarding is allowed. There is no access to the water. But the park is beautiful.
You can't get into the water there, but you could definitely go along the edge of the lake to detect. Good luck!
In the info that Google maps has for the park, there is a photo of the park rules. Rock removal is not on the "No" list. There is also a phone number for the wayne county park policies if you want to check further.
Most likely it's memorial day weekend.
