Don't really make negative reviews, and it seems like the brick and mortar bike shop is filled with excellent people. Poor experience for me with the online side with a transaction. Probably a fluke but figured I'd share. Read the fine print on the returns policy. Overall, (if you're not local) maybe just shop with another online retailer or visit your local bike shop. My experience with Western Bike Works, Velotech Inc, and Nate from sales was a solid reminder.

I purchased a bike from their former NW shop location back in 2018. Since then my new LBS discovered a warranty issue with a wheel. No questions asked, Western worked with them to figure out a replacement. I ultimately brought the bike to Western and they replaced the wheel in-house within hours, and at no cost. What they lack in a service department, they make up for in friendly and speedy service!

Great service, great selection. Easy to order from. The sales team is knowledgeable. Their fitters helped me find a comfortable position without trying to sell me all sorts of new stems/posts/bars etc (first time fitting, so don’t have a comparison). I haven’t used their shops for maintenance/fixes, so can’t comment on that. Thanks Western Bikeworks!

One of the best bike shops in Portland. I started shopping here for the selection and continue shopping here because of the excellent customer service. Everyone I've dealt with has been friendly, professional, and helpful. I've purchased a bicycle and many accessories here. I'm a lifelong daily bicycle rider, but I would recommend this shop to all cyclists, regardless of experience level.
