Not much this garden could do to be better. Beautifully situated in a hilly area along a stream, they take advantage of both to optimize the beauty of the gardens. Highly recommend.

Leach Botanical Gardens is located on SE 122nd and Foster Road, originally the home of two famous Oregon botanists. Their small stone house is now the gift store, but it's clear they spent all their free time outdoors. The seven acres were deeded to Portland parks and recreation in 1984, but recent improvements, including the new sky bridge through the trees, makes it a must-see while it's still free. Website says you need tickets, but when I asked about it at the entrance they said they had been never reached capacity, so head on out on a whim if you like. Plenty of areas for indoor am be outdoor events an be weddings -- and plenty of rustic charm.

Beautifully curated garden, complete with a tree walk and community garden. Intimate space with marked pathways and signs showing names of the flora. Currently, Leach Botanical Garden is waiving their fee but accepting donations. Worth the visit!

The Leach Botanical Garden is a 16 acre garden that has over 2,000 types of plants, and 125 types of fern’s. There are well maintained crushed gravel walking paths, a fantastic skywalk, two parking lots, restrooms, benches, a gift shop, activities for children, scavenger hunts, volunteer opportunities, tours, and you can host events there as well. Johnson Creek, which originates in Boring Oregon, and ends up in the Willamette, flows through the garden as well. The south side of the gardens are currently off limits unless you have a tour guide. The small bridge that was there before was removed, and the gate on the south side is locked. There was to much traffic, and neighbors became concerned that it was to dangerous for children. You’ll want to come here at different times of the year since there are so many varieties of flowers that bloom at different times. Make sure to bring your camera.

Yes they do on both ends, one by the entry and one by the gift shop
No, we will not be having a summer tea this year.
Right now we still ask staff and visitors to wear masks in the garden. Many of our visitors are older and at high risk. Some of our staff have not yet received their second dose of the vaccine. Out of an abundance of caution we are still asking people to use masks, at least for a little bit longer.
Currently free for members and non-members.
Yes, in the upper areas. The area by the cabin is unaffected though.
Good thing is, it's free. Park on the other side of the street for free as well.
I can't recall any sundews but they do have pitcher plants.
Only parts around the main building.
