The owner of this store has implemented an extremely suspicious “policy” of bullying customers into handing him their card instead of using the contactless payment option which his hardware supports. DO NOT SHOP HERE, THIS IS INSECURE AND ILLEGAL.

Before you allow them to charge you a fee for a debit card. It is NOT OK OR VALID for them to do so. Especially 50 cent charge when the cap is only 21 cents. STOP PROFITING FROM THE POOR. LOOK IT UP AND ASK EVERYWHERE BEFORE DOING BUSINESS WITH SHADY OWNERS

Like a deli? No. There are some convenience foods that you can microwave there though. Also, FYI bring cash because they have a ridiculous policy where if you want to use your debit card and you don't spend at least $10 they charge you .50. That seems really ridiculous, especially in this part in town, so I go to the market the next block over (by Mary's). They are cheaper, nicer and don't charge you to take your money!
