The grilled cornbread with the truffle honey and green garlic butter was out of this world!!! I loved the Hanger steak it was cooked to perfection and had a wonderful taste but I wasn’t crazy about the sides that came with it! I will be back!

Lunch was not busy (July 3rd so maybe people are busy getting ready for their gatherings). It was perfect for my social anxiety! Beautiful, open outdoor lunch area and the food is served on a tray you pick up/bus yourself with no servers milling about (dogs are allowed in the outside seating area!). The fries were delightfully crispy on the outside, and pillowy soft inside! The rosemary is the most prominent herb tasted which I love! The garlic aioli is a perfect partner for them. The burger is very subtle and juicy! Great beefy, umami flavor and the bun was toasted! Their house pickles added a great acidity. The overall mouth texture left me wanting iceberg lettuce for that crispy crunch but the outstanding flavor almost made the textures not as relevant. The staff was sweet, helpful, and genuine.

Fun atmosphere, plenty of covered outdoor seating. Indoor seating area is nice, has a bar with seating too. Would choose outside seating next time. There is a tiny specialized meat market attached to the restaurant that I've heard has delicious high quality meats, but it closed right as we got there. The burrata salad was fabulous with incredibly freshly pulled burrata and just the right amount of grapefruit and blood orange citrus. I was excited about the mac and cheese, but was a bit disappointed. It was a little on the bland side, the grilled onions didn't add much flavor either. I wouldn't order that again. I would order the deviled eggs next time, they looked very popular and delicious on the tables around us. The grilled cornbread was a bit conflicting for me, it was more of a savory cornbread, with a sweet garlic molasses and butter. Those flavors just didn't flow with my taste buds, but I could see how others enjoy it. Last but not least, our steak was absolutely incredible. They know their meats. High quality, tender to the slice, and cooked perfectly, with enough accompaniment to add some different flavors, but not too much that it took away from the steak. We will definitely be back, to eat and to shop for steaks.

I went here today to pick up some steaks. They are the only high end butcher I know of in the area. Got there at 10 right when they opened and the staff was cheery and welcoming. The gentleman behind the butcher counter was working and asked if I needed help. I told him I was looking for steaks. He was very helpful and told me they have more in the back that he hasn’t finished prepping but if it’s something I want then he would be glad to do it. I opted for 3 of their dry aged bone in NY strips. The butcher said they dry age them minimum 21 days. I liked that they were cut thick like they should be (about an inch thick). They were about $31 a pound and paying was easy. Took them home to grill. Everyone likes their steaks a different way and that is all fine. For purposes of the review I’ll say what I did. Let them sit at room temperature for about 1.5 hours. Heated my gas grill to as hot as it’ll go which is about 700 degrees. I put sea salt and black pepper on the steaks then did them for 4 minutes on the first side and about 2-3 on the second side. Took them off and put a little room temperature butter in them, tented it, and let them sleep for about 15 minutes. My house smelled like magic. It was hard to wait. Once I was finally able to eat them holy cow (pun intended, no bull). They were some of, if not the best, steaks I’ve ever made. I would say that they were better than any I’ve had at a restaurant too such as Ruth’s Chris’, Morton’s, or Double Eagle. They were on par with Peter Luger in Brooklyn. Highly recommend this place as a butcher shop!!!
