It's best to keep in refrigerator anturn them daily. They should last a few days
Assuming you mean for later use after purchase or for storing unused bait after an outing...I find they dry out if left in the box even with turning. Wet newspaper can help short term. My typical work around that has been working for years is dump the worms and seaweed together into a gallon ziplock and keep them in the fridge, but DO NOT seal the bag completely. About 3/4 zipped closed works fine. Keeps the worms in the bag and allows them to breathe. I have kept unused worms for well over a week with this method.
